It was but its just not the right time, she does not have her passport, or me..we could of gotten them in time but no money for all th eother expenses, taxes, food, baggage checkage, gratuities etc etc, I live on aprx 400.00 a month..that has to buy my food, vitamins, unmentionable, laundry, buses to where I need to go..it doesn't go far and plus I am a smoker..I wanted to win the tv but I got the grand prize, I phoned and turned it down, maybe an Sc'r will win....but I have even more exciting news...no not a contest win..I just found out I am going to be a grandma again...and that is priceless, Devy is going to have a little sisiter or brother..I'd take that over any contest win anyday....but in all honesty Im still a little down about and won't be entering anymore contests.Quote:

I'm in the same boat regarding contests for trips, I used to enter them hoping I'd win one of the subsidiary prizes, because there is no way we could go away on a trip because of our situation - but then I realized I had to stop, just because of the exact case you found yourself in. It used to be that there would be a cash equivalent for trips, but I notice that is rare now.
I just won a Playskool toy! I filled out a ballot from Today's Parent magazine before Xmas and mailed it in. It was to win 1 of 30 toys. I won the Step Start Walk N' Ride for my dd. It's awesome, she doesn't have any walker toys so we're super happy :)

I just won a leapster2 from LeapFrog and Wendys. Draw closed December 20th and the draw was on January 20th. I'm so excited says its for kids age 4 to 8 and I have a 4 year old and a 7 year old. My guys are the perfect age for it.
The email was from Prize fulfillment services and looked shady at first but after a closer look definitely legit.
