The phone call arrived when I was at the college and luckily my brother was home to receive the good news. Now, for some technical stuff....I was sent an "affidavit" in it I have to fill out of my name, address ect. but it also asks for my S.S. Number is that normal? I thought it wasn't safe to give social insurance info out....this is my first win EVER...so I need all of your help!

Congrats to the winners.......definitely I would say NO on giving out my SIN number.....that is confidential info that no one needs to have, especially contest promoters.
I had to sign a form when I won a largeish contest from KFC last year ARV $500 + no where did it ask for my sin. I would leave it blank, if they really need proof of who you are there are other ways that are way less invasive of personal infos imo.
