I got a $50 Mark's gift card delivered by courier today. It was from some Communications company, likely a PR firm. There was no letter explaining what it was for and I didn't get an e-mail telling me I had won anything.
I love surprises like that :)

Its my birthday today and I opened my email this morning to find an email telling me that I won 2 tix to see Canada's got talent on Dec 3, Sadly I had to decline the ticket because I have my family chirstmas party on the same date and time :( Not even sure why I entered it...I thought I was being careful about stuff like that?!

I did the exact same thing! I won tickets to see a taping in Vancouver, and I live on Vancouver Island so it's a bit of a process to get there, and I had a paper due the next day, so I had to give them up as well! Would have been a neat experience though!

Happy Belated :)

Checked my e-mail this morning and saw I won a $100 prepaid give and go visa from the Give & Go Facebook page (it's neat, you get to spend $80 and give $20 to a charity of your choice) - turns out the Friday winner didn't claim it so they redrew and I won :)

OK, I found out what I won from the Staples Canada Share & Save Contest. It is a $25 Staples Gift Card. She sent me a message:

I will need you to fill out the attached form and email or fax it back to me along with a copy of your driver’s license. If you are faxing, my fax number is 905-780-5625.

^ I was asked for a copy of my ID through givingitaway, so I think it is sometimes a requirement, though rare.

Staples did ask for proof of ID when I won a gift card thru a twitter contest, some companies do still ask for proof with small prizes.

Yes. I won a $10 GC from a Staples FB contest awhile back and they asked for my license.

If your license has a different address than the address you fill out the form with (our road name changed and I haven`t updated my license!) Staples will send it to the license address... I`m lucky my prize showed up! Our post office HATES delivering mail with old road names (they changed ALL our road names! :yikes:)

I have never once won anything from a contest... Well.. A coloring contest.. But my aunt colored it and used my name. Hahaha. Doesn't count.
My sister is the lucky one! Lifetime supply of pop tarts when she was 13 or something... Tons of prizes.

I am determined to make myself a winner somehow :P
Oh, I once won $100 off a lucky lines scratch card and gave it to my dad when times were tough. I had just turned 18!

I won (for my son) the Scotia Skaters contest for the December 20th Jets game vs. the Islanders. He will be in a Jets uniform leading the team onto the ice, carrying the Jets . He will then stand on the blue line with the team for the national anthems. Prize also includes 4 Jets tickets (so the whole family can go) and an awesome Jets merchandise pack. We are all very excited!
