I got a phone call this morning from Lockport Appliances and they told me I won the GE Dryer (Narrowgate contest for Manitobans - cndlady will know which one this is) worth $379. Yaay!!
Anyway, I live in an apartment so I really can't have a dryer in here, so I asked the if I put in the difference if I could get a dishwasher and he said sure. I need a portable, which of course if waaaay more expensive, so I would have to pay $237.30 to get a $599 GE Dishwasher. Yaaay!
Anyway, I don't have a lot of room for a dishwasher either, so my son's (well my daughter's too) birthday is at the end of the month (daughter 22nd, son 27th), so I asked him if he would like it for his birthday present. He has been wanting a dishwasher for quite some time (well, so have I, but oh well), so of course he said yes. They will deliver it to his house on Wednesday. Yaaay!!!
(Oh, my daughter lives in a small apt as well - she just lives down the halll from me. So she wouldn't have the room either, plus my son and his gf have the baby and she definately needs clean dishes and bottles.)
So, I am very happy and excited. I actually won something...and something sort of big...well $379 worth of big.

I think it does go to show the Karma thing though.. yesterday was helping an old lady find her stuff at the grocery store and gave her some coupons... same sort of deal right before I had my last win... Does that seem to happen with anyone else?
OMG yes...I just remebered! Yesterday an older lady was in line ahead of me at Zellars and she had a cart full of stuff. I only had two pillows so she let me go ahead of her. And although my purchase was cheap (pillows 2/$6 :)) I offered to let her use her points card!! However, the bi*^y cashier would not let her, but maybe that helped my karma...and maybe she (cashier) got some bad Karma! :)
