When I turn her on ...She won't load window Xp properly so I get a blank screen...I'm going to have to pack it up and send it back to Dell....or wait until Dec when I come back to Canada with money from Afghan to get a new one lol
but ive never won an online contest, i won in gr 6 for x mas bingo, much to my teachers dismay, she was an old witch:lolsign: ive lost every wet t shirt contest:lolsign:i won 1000 at the slots and i won a costume contest once , thats it im not very lucky, oh yeah 100 once on a crossword and 50 on a bingo
Oh well, at least you won 1,000$ at the slots, that is pretty good! :)
I won that smurf contest (in Wales, UK). And for any Edmontonians - I often win through the Edmonton Journal (maybe once every omnth or two - books, movie passes, perfume, etc...)

cndlady, I "won" a digital camera too...and then today I received an email that said there was a computer glitch and I won't be getting a camera.:mad: I was so excited. Apparently they're sending a link to a coupon for a free toothbrush and toothpaste though.
Yea it kinda sucks doesn't it..I realized that I had got a sorry you didn't win msg..but I thought maybe the 2 cameras for the previous month hadn't been won and that i had won one of these...Quote:

Ohhh well not much we can do about it..I'm just kinda ticked that even after they were emailed about the problem that it took them until the next day to fix the problem..the link should have been pulled after the first email was received.

I sent them a letter thanking them for the toothbrush and toothpaste but telling them that I was not happy w/ the way this glitch was dealt with and how long it took them to fix it.
As a webmaster I KNOW they could have temporarily shut down the contest entry page in under 5 minutes and this is what I believe they should have done. As late as Thursday morning people were still receiving the you have won email..
I also requested that they send me coupons or product in the mail as there are no stores in my area that will accept computer generated coupons.

I have won a DVD player at my old job a few years ago. but... the best ones were a couple of years ago i entered a vacation contest on Contest Canada and won! i got a trip to Florida for 2, airfare included. 2 weeks later i won 500 bucks off of one of my survey sites in their monthly draw! totally awesome! and just 3 months ago i won a sirius sattelite radio through pizza pizza! i LOVE contests/surveys!!!
Good for you and welcome Carnej!! I won a XM satellite radio through a survey site once! My parents have a sirius one, but I prefer XM because it has seperate stations for 40s 50s 60s 70s 80s and 90's music (I love all but the 60s and 70s lol...). Be sure to introduce yourself in chitchat and join in the fun!
