Today is dh's birthday and we're going out to dinner tonight. Anyone know which restaurants around here let you eat free on your birthday?

I don't think anywhere for adults, but some places for kids do. I know in the past people have gotten desserts for free at Steak and Stein, Boston Pizza, east side marios. But that was usually a cup of ice cream or a sliver of cake. I really don't know where anymore. sorry

I go to the casino. Not sure if they'd take you tonight but it's a free buffet dinner within 10 days of your birthday if you're a players club member, and you get like $5-10 in playing money, which you can cash out if you want, lol!!
My husband and I have birthdays close together and we go on a date in the middle

For the casino, you must have visited the casino sometime within the last year....and spent something....even it was a 5 cent slot. Otherwise your Players card account goes dormant and they stop sending the free offers. 5 cents for a free meal is a good deal. Do it well in advance of your bday

My brother and my son share a birthday and they often eat at Pizza delight. They have a special menu for birthday meals and you have to show ID with your picture and birthdate, a combination of student ID (for picture) and NS Health card will work for kids. They don't have a lot of variety on the birthday menu though.

Thank you all so much for the great ideas! We ended up going to Montana's and had a really good dinner. I signed up for their newsletter and that gave us a free apetizer, which was absolutely yummy, then we ordered the drink of the day and they only charged us $7.99 for 2 drinks (I was shocked). He had a big fat steak and I had the special with chicken, ribs, and shrimp (enough for two easily). Our bill was only $64 and we left happy, full and with food to take home. I thought that was pretty good. Oh, I forgot, the waitress brought him a bowl of icecream with two spoons because she said "I had to bring you something!".
Thanks again for all your great suggestions! I think we should keep adding to this thread so we'll all know where to go next time!Want to join Swagbucks and start earning giftcards too?http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/dreamcatchers

The casino changed their policy. They told me you have to had spent $20 minimum within the casino gaming floor within the past 365 days to qualify for their "free lunch buffet." Not worth it anymore.
