I got my bank statement today and because of all of little shopping trips and price matches I went over my normal banking package for the first time ever!! It cost me an extra $8.00 in bank fees! Sooootoday I went to the bank and took out some cash. Just something else to keep an eye on.
I know PC offers free banking but I HATE them and would rather pay $10.00 for good service. This thread is currently associated with: N/A

Yes, that is something we all have to watch. When I am shopping and if the purchase is not too big of an amount, I may get cash back. So then I will have extra money for smaller purchases.

I have an unlimited account at ATB where I can do as many transactions as I please. It's 10.95, but if you keep a minimum balance of $1500 they waive the fees so I pay nothing. If you have the savings and the will power to do it, lots of banks will waive the monthly fee if you keep a couple thousand dollars in there.

ATB all the way! With the flat fee banking... keeping in mind the min balance. You also get free cheques, Free unlimited ATM use @ ATB.
ATB also has another plan. If you keep an even higher balance??? I think $3000.00 (not sure) there is no monthly fee.
Oh! No fee banking for seniors at ATB, my dad told me about that one.
P.S. RCSS PC banking is owned & run by CIBC, the same ATM machines as CIBC just a diffrent name on the them, so your deposits are very safe.Last edited by Travelnut; Fri, Aug 5th, 2011 at 11:38 PM.

Unfortunately I don't have $1500 to keep in my bank account. I am happy with Servus and last month was the first time we had ever gone over. Before we never even came close. It is all of the stupid sorry we can only do one at a time coupons. Lesson learned
