Expiry Dates on Coupons

How do you read the dates on coupons?

For example expires 7/8/2011 - Is that July 8, 2011 or Aug. 7/2011?

Well standard Canadian dates are supposed to go: day month year but some do do the American way month day year :/

The format is usually mm/dd/yyyy.

I agree, because if you get coupons for say.. save.ca, they have the month (spelled out) first

it's month/day/year unless it's issued in Quebec (which they almost never are)
