    ..so i have started baking and making icing... they really really are simple to make since most items on the recipe is very easy to find.. EXCEPT ONE!!!

    where can i find cream of TARTAR? i have been all over grocery stores (looking for coupons and that one particular ingredient but can not find any!!)

    please help.

    In our local grocery store in NS, they have it with the spices in a little tin. Hope this helps!

    bulk barn, spice isle. Or any grocery store that carries the spices in the orange tins. You won't find coupons for it (unless maybe if you contact the manufacturer with a complaint).
    Most recipes call for such a small amount that one little tin could last quite a while.

    i found it in every store not only bulk barn , look in the cake and pastry stuff shelf , should be there.
    by the way r u making meringue lol

    I know they sell it at Safeway, it should be in the baking aisle of any grocery store though.

    It might also be in a tiny little white box with blue writing on it - packaging looks like something from the 1950's

    maybe i just dont know what it looks like! Lol.. yes! i want to make meringue! and i want a fluffy white icing!!! i am tired of buying Betty Crockers Icing i do not have the $1 off coupon anymore!

    you actually don't need cream of tartar for icing

    butter cream icing is butter, icing sugar and a little bit of milk. 10x better than that canned stuff!
