Sorry, I lied. The shipping page says "submitted", not "shipped". planned delivery date says "date to follow".
But apparently the email he got from CS confirmed that the order went through

The problem is, HP's system allowed the 32 to significantly oversell past what stock they had on hand. Case in point, there are roughly 6000 purchase order numbers after mine from over the course of the weekend. I'm not even remotely confident I'll be getting my own.
The 16GB went OOS on Saturday morning at about 9:30am mountain time. It's not all that much of a stretch to think that the 32 would have followed sometime later that morning/afternoon. Unfortunately HP.ca allowed people to continue to order right up until Monday morning.
So it really does come down to when you ordered. At this point it's all a bit of a crap shoot.
..my dad had the option of reserving one today...and passed without telling anyone (my brother, who is totally sad).
anyone who was "charged" is it for the full price or did they adjust the payment..
You can download free full version of Angry Birds and it plays at proper speed. Man, family can't get enough of Angry Birds. Should've bought another 16gb, lol.
I feel bad for all of the HP employees having to deal with this situation. I still would like to get one, but can't imagine the stress on them!
On the HP site, they have a notification system for when they become available again. Not sure if it will be the same model or at the same price but I would think so and hope so.
i spoke to hp staff today about my order that was done on sunday and the order status shows submitted on their web so she said that this means is that their fraud department is verifying details of the card and the matching address once its done within 1 day then depending on their inventory i may get the 32gb one or may get order cancelled as of now i can only wait untill they send me an email of the status ...
I ordered on Sunday too...tried many times to call on Monday only to hear a busy tone. I hope I still get mine. :embarassed:
Yeah, I feel sorry for the workers at HP Canada already. Imagine how busy their phone lines would be if they did do massive cancelation e-mails. If this happens they would probably be better off just selling everything and changing names to a different brand altogether. :-~ I couldn't believe they had no limits on their orders...I heard someone ordered 19 of them and was sent... Don't know if it's true but...WOW That would be well deserved in the Brag section...LOL
Its always the top brass ( executives , CEO's etc ) who screws up & the staff at the bottom has to deal with crap from its customer's for no fault of theirs .
Even if Hp had priced them at $ 199.99 & $ 249.99 respectively ..they would have still sold all of them without this chaos & stampede .
Why they had no limits per household + allowed sales to go through although they were out of stock is beyond me .
So sad that my order with staples didnt go through!
I really wanted one and I highly doubt that will happen now. :(
