This is what I do.I will mach coupons with sales for product that I need. But I also have to eat and feed family of 5. As you all know there is no enough coupons for basic food. So I will take plastic bottle to bottle depot and also during week fuel at Superstore to get superbuck. When I combine money from bottle depot and superbuck I get some of food items free.Usualy there will be around 20$ per week which i put towards food.Rest I have to pay and thats it.

Those are some very good tips! Another is if you're planning to cook for supper but you need a main course, go to the clearance section for meats and such! They're not bad yet, and if you're using it that coming night, there's no problem but some extra savings!

I know .Good food box is excelent but here in Calgary is not avaliable every month.I think will be avaliable in september.Yea its whole bunch of healthy food for little money. Thanks for sharing. I used to go to farmers market too but food is more expensive than in store.Than this year I started growing vegetables under grow lights but they were very small so I am not gonna do that any more. But i will do only salad this winter in my aerogarden.I was growing herbs and they lasted long time so this time i will buy salad seeds and have fresh organic salad whole winter.More you harvest more it grows.

YEA,pink stickered meat are always good.I even freeze them. Also here in Calgary in SE there is Vietnamize fresh meat store. They have excelent prices for pork meat(off course for people who eat pork). You can buy pork back leg without skin and without bones for about 50$. You will get so much meat that you won't belive. Then when I buy that leg and come home I just trim excess fat from it cut it and pack it in ziplock bags.We are family of 5+ my dad who spends 6 months every year at my place and from that leg I can get AT LEAST 10 packages of meat. But for smaller family you can get 15.That was the best deal I found on meat so far. Also taste is very nice and meat is tender.

I buy all the pink sticker meat I can! I hate paying full price for meat. I have 3 little kids and seems like every day they are eating more and more, so it's hard to keep up with them!

I try to cut back on our meals that use meat and try to do a couple in a week that are more on the side of vegetarian. I bought some of the ground "yves" product it's a vegan product (theres coupons out there for this product) and I use that sometimes in my spaghetti instead of hamburger and at costco I think you can buy a box of 4 or more packages in a box for like $6. And even single packs retail for about $3 which still cheaper than a package of hamburger. And gotta love a slow cooker, great way to stretch your dollar on meals.
