I'm glad your safe Sally :) Tornados are scary and my thoughts are with you.
After see those pic so glad to hear you and your family is safe. I didn't realize how bad it was.
Oh Sally! I`m so glad that you and yours are safe but what a terrible thing to have happen to your community! Good luck to everyone in moving forward!
Being a teacher, I`m wondering about schools. Any of them damaged? The kids will be heading back soon and hopefully their lives can be as normal as possible.
They are ok Avon. Buses are the problem, they are pretty bad.

Hi all,
I have been a member for a while but don't get a chance to post that often.
I am from Goderich. We had an F3 tornado go through on Sunday afternoon. We are still in a state of emergency, we just got our power back on but many in town are still without. Please send your thoughts to everyone here. We are cleaning up, and are very lucky.
The storm struck quickly and many people had no idea it was coming as there was a sunny period before hand.
Please keep us all in your thoughts.
Glad you are safe. It's been awful to see such devastation there.
Thinking of you all there and so glad most are safe. Terrible storms coming through this year.
Oh, goodness...we've been watching the news coverage and it's just so horrible to see! The clean-up is going to take some time, as is the rebuilding so I'm glad the gov't is ready with some money, but jeepers....such a terrible time for everyone!
Glad you're safe...keep in touch!

I've heard the hardest part is transportation. People want to help out etc. but they have no transportation (and we don't have public transit).

Im kinda on the fence about that. People who want to help and really mean it are there. Lots of people can just post they need a ride but they dont actually want to go.
If theres a will theres a way kinda of thing.
Lots of people from surrounding counties are headed there everyday, theres lots of opportunities.

Thanks Tara! Im hoping the online auction goes well. I have over $500 placed in bids.
Im also heading out to buy my mother a cell phone this afternoon since she doesnt have phone service and cant afford a cell phone.
The first picture you have here is the plant that my husband worked at...whats left of it:( Thanks sally for all your work and getting the word out how people can help. There are so many people working together and cleaning up...the streets are clearing fast but there is so much work to be done on the buildings yet....its going to take a long time...
