Have you gone in person to the SPCA to see if they have him? I can tell you from experience that they don't do a very good job of trying to match up missing cats with found ones. If they found him a few months ago he could have been passed on to a rescue by now which would put him probably with Furry Friends. He possibly could have gone directly to a rescue also. I would drop by there and check with them too. I know the heartache of loosing a beloved cat.
I will keep a watch out when I'm out and about.
