Just saw a new Walmart commercial for back to school and the cashier was like, "You don't need a flyer" when the lady said she didn't have one for an Ad Match?! Whaaaaaaaaat?! Is this a new policy they are implementing? And then the customer asked for coupons and the cashier was like No problem, or something like that?
Anyone else seen it?This thread is currently associated with: Walmart

OH MY GOODNESS I thought I was just over sleepy and was hearing things. I seen this to....I will have to ask my mom as she works at walmart.. I too don't know anything about this...
I got thinking there are so many people who abuse coupons.. I am sure that people will just walk in to the Walmart by something and say oh ya that is on sale at ____________ for less price and then get it cheaper.. and not telling the truth about it....
but I am not complaining.. in a way that would be great then I wont need to bring in all the flyers with me every time I shop in Walmart......
I really don't get the commercial.... I guess we will find out soon.... thanks for posting
Thank you to Everyone On SmartCanucks for helping me save

wow. I haven't seen this yet! Please share any more info you get about this. I am so surprised that they would make a commercial like that. Maybe it will be a good thing for us couponers.

Just saw it again and paid more attention. At the very end at the bottom in small print: www.walmart.com
Guess it is just for the states?

There's the link to the ad if anyone wants to watch. If you still need a flyer to PM it's pretty deceiving for people who pay attention to price matching.

The fine print says
Our stores will match the price of any local competito's printed ad for an identical product. Not applicable to Walmart.com. Restrictions apply. See more stores for details.

When I saw the commercial the first time I was thinking they meant you don't need another competitors flyer since WM prices were lower!!!

When I went to Walmart the other night there was a binder at each cashier with the local flyers from other stores.
Maybe they will have the flyers from other stores all the time?
