Got a good deal but not such a good vacuum.
Shark's Infinity Petpro Vacuum. Some places are still selling their leftover stock, to get rid of them... but stay away, don't fall for the deal, vacuum is crap.
Okay so the suction is okay but here are the major problems.
1/ rotating brush that is supposed to sweep the carpet to remove pet hair.... bristles fall out/wear down in 'weeks'.
2/ the canester needs to be emptied 'several times during one vacuum session (and all I have are little area rugs and I clean 4/5 x a week)
3/ tips over a lot, top heavy when using wand
4/ the machine itself is very heavy
5/ can never get any help from Shark or easily get replacement/ warranty problems solved.
6/ vacuum is discontinued to my knowledge and everyone else complains about same things
Don't get duped if you see a good sale or coupon this vacuum is not worth it! thumbs way down. Not even a year old and I have to get a new one. Shark you suck, but not dirt or pet hair! LOLThis thread is currently associated with: Canadian Tire

After a lengthy process of trying to find a useful company contact.
The manufacture has contacted me and agreed to ship me the defective rotating brush part for FREE. I have to call their customer service to do this, dont know why they didn't do it by email, woulda been easier for me.
I'll keep you posted to see if they come through and how long it will take. Contacting the customer service line tomorrow.
Who wants to bet on how long I will be on hold for, and if they will know what they are doing?

So ,
three calls to their customer service
three different operators
nobody understands anything
will not mail out part
does not know the person who emailed me
there is no such reference number that I gave them
Back to emailing the company AGAIN
Not impressed at all!

I have the purple dyson pet vacuum and hand vac, they are AMAZING!!! Ive had just about every other type of pet vacuum and they usually break after a year or less. My mother has had her dyson for 6 years! So hopefully mine lasts just as long

Hi PinkLincoln I want to get a dyson when I am able. I have heard so much good about it so I'm not suprised that you really like yours as well.
An update on my Shark Infinity Pet PRO PROBLEM
After run around with email customer service
Was told to call the telephone customer service
They would take my order, replace part free of charge free shipping too
So, customer service was called and after (3) calls
(3) different C.S reps
and 2 hours on the phone we got 'nowhere'
Email again to customer service
My basic email was: I am not going to call customer service anymore, here is my name and address 'you' deal with this and send me the part, which is what you should have done to begin with.
The reply was basically 'Okay part will be shipped'
So it's been almost a week, no part yet. We'll see if it ever comes.
DO NOT BUY A SHARK!

I just got a Dyson and it is awesome! It picks up so much dirt the old vacuum left behind.
If you look on Ebay, Dyson Canada has a ebay store (search for the store called dysoncanada ) where they sell factory refurbished units. I paid $350.00 (free shipping) for the one I got but on their retail store it sells for $599.00. They come with 2 year warranty from Dyson.Last edited by ederer; Fri, Sep 30th, 2011 at 12:47 PM.

Wow that sounds awful! So stressful. Thanks tho for the warning. I had bought the Shark steam cleaning thing and hate it too. No more Shark for me ever! I've also heard great things about Dyson so I might have to check them out. I really hope you get your part, altho I think with all the time and energy spend they need to send you a cheque to replace the whole damn thing! But I know that at least if you ever get the part it will be a win. Good luck to you and thanks again for sharing not only about the item but the customer service too.
