Thread: Note to self and Mini Metro brag

First, a Note to Self:
DO NOT go grocery shopping at a major grocery store right in the middle of a very popular student rental area, and also very close to campus, in a city where 22,000 students reside, on the day before classes start (ie: the day most people moved in), which is also the day after a holiday in which said grocery store was closed, at 5:30 in the afternoon!!!
So today I go to Metro on my way home from doing a bit of shopping and tearpad hunting. I wasn't there to get a lot of stuff, because Metro is expensive and I try not to shop there unless its for a few sale items or I really need something (it's on my way home from work) because I have to bus home, and I hate carrying a ton of stuff on the bus.
No tearpad coupons to speak of that I didn't have a few of already, but I did find some good deals!
Coke x1 2.99
Blueberries x2 1.88 each
Seafood sauce x1 2.59 (need for a recipe I am making Sunday for a baby shower and my No Frills doesn't carry it)
Pork Chops on sale x1 3.84
My best deal by far tho was:
Old El Paso taco kit reg 4.49 on sale for 3.99, plus it had the free cheese coupon!!! I was going to buy the cheese anyway, as I needed mozzarella for my recipe, and had a $1 save.ca coupon that expired today. The cheese was ALSO on sale for 5.99 for 380g, and the coupon said free 300g pack of cheese, or $6 towards the 380g pack, so my 4.50 taco kit and chesse that was regular 8-something was only 4 bucks!!
I was so happy they allowed me to tear the box up at the register
, but not so pleased I had to wait in line for 25 mins for the express lane!
I plan on going back tomorrow and getting a fajita kit with another free cheese!

Free cheese is always good...cheese is EXPENSIVE!! Between my hubby and my son, I don't know who eats more!
