Was at Canadian tire today to buy some oil for my truck, and noticed that the 5 L. jugs of Castrol were on sale for $16.99. ($8 saveing) when I went to pay for it the cashier told me that I get a free Fram oil filter with the purchase of each jug!! Oil filters for my truck are worth $5.19. It's a good deal.

Ya, bring it home, do it yourself, I know of a case where C/T forgot to put the plug back in. Eooosup! I sure when the mechanic found the plug in his pocket he felt like a dickhead or (a C|T mechanic) LOL

I let Canadian tire change my oil once. After a few days of driving I checked the oil level and found they had over filled my car significantly. I have been told this can cause serious damage to the valves.

Canadian Tire overfilled mine too! Decent customer service at mine though -the manager personally (in his dress clothes) hosed off my engine, refunded my money, and offered me a credit for an additional free oil change. But given how badly it was overfilled (I revved the engine and it spewed everywhere!), we are just lucky I didn't need new seals.
