Blockbuster Video Store closing sale SEPTEMBER 9TH

Went to our store tonight and left with 5 PS3 games and 3 Wii games and two movies for $180. Very good deals. Just sad to see a place we frquented so often closing it's doors.

Well, I'd be lying if I didn't say that the 40% off did NOT make a huge hole in my pocket after the weekend. Oh yeah, I spent quite a bit, but it was well worth it. I'm pretty sure I got a great deal on everything. There might be just a few items I overpaid on but, that's alright with me. The majority of it was a steal, in my opinion.

I mean, I got several Steelbook Blu-Ray's for like $11, especially the Memento one which I later found out was Out of Print. I don't have a whole lot of money left until next pay-check, but once it goes to 50%, I'll be right back out there looking for more deals.

The majority of the stores are pretty picked over at this point, but there was one location that still had a nice selection on Sunday when I went there. I am hoping it stays that way until it goes to 50% because there were a few select Blu-Ray's I wouldn't mind getting. Not until it goes to 50% though.

Once I hear it goes to 50%, I am flying to that one location and waiting until it opens and I hope they still have what they had on Sunday, but I won't hold my breath over it.

Since I called it last time, I am going out on a limb and saying by THIS Friday, it will go to 50%. There isn't much time left and they've got to make sure everything goes, right?? Well, once they drop to 50%, I'm sure that will seal the deal. Everything will go then. I cannot wait for 50%!!! What a deal that will be then!!

I spent just under $50 and got - 4 dvds - Something Borrowed and Meeks Creek (?) new Michelle Williams movie and a wii game.

Definately didn't have a lot left, but enough to pick from .

My store was really picked over. I managed to get 3 DVD's for the kids (Tarzan, Tarzan 2 and RIO) for about $20.

I checked the Blockbuster.ca site and it still says 40%....So, I'm not sure if the picture above is a fake photoshop or what, but I can't find anywhere else that says it is now 50-70% off.

My Store in Brampton is 50% off now and 70% all candy/food items. Not much left in there. They told me its the stores that will shut the doors by the end of this week, so all of Brampton stores will be gone this week I did get crystal light singles for 0.10 each which was a great deal lol

It kinda upsets me because I JUST spent like 25 bucks on a game to trade in for Gears of War 3 at futureshop... Coulda got it cheaper! NO!

Anyways, yeah if there are xbox360 gamers on here, you can get 2 or 3 games from blockbuster and trade them into bestbuy or futureshop for gears of war 3.
at bestbuy you have to trade in 3 games over 8 dollars trade in value
at futureshop you have to trade in 2 games on a certain list of games.

I ended up trading in captain america super soldier (no one seems to like)
and Mario party 8 for wii (which i dont play anymore)
and got gears of war 3 for 25bucks + a game i dont play.
good deal.

Found my phone in the backseat of my car(too drunk the other night), forgot it was there. Battery is almost dead.
STORE IS OPEN AT 10AM. Still travelling to the store, just called them.

There were 2 blu-rays I had my eyes on, but even with 50% off it's still cheaper to get on Amazon, looks like I won't be buying anything there during the sale.

I did get all 3 volumes of the James Bond Blu-Rays(9 movies) at Bestbuy(after Walmart price match) for $31.50.
