Just browsing today at Canadian Tire and noticed a big sign that states Canadian Tire will price match and give you 10% back in Canadian Tire money on the lowest price. So I price matched two items from WM to Canadian Tire and made $1 back and also used $2.60 in coupons with no issues. I think I will start doing this more often because I like supporting a Canadian company versus the American giant WM. I also get Canadian Tire money on purchases and can use that money to buy anything in the store.
Does anyone else shop at Canadian Tire? This thread is currently associated with: Canadian TireSMILE - and make the world a better place

Had no idea about this, then again coupons are a no go at my Canadian Tire, so I doubt price matching will be allowed.

CT is odd when it comes to couponing in the city I live in.. I've only tried it at two of the stores but omgosh.. they are brutal.. first time I had dog food.. trial size packs.. I think I had 9 packs and 9 coupons.. each one had to be rung through as a separate transaction. I had to pay..then he stapled the receipt to a piece of paper and the coupon.. then he did the next one.. it took about 30 minutes.. he closed his cash.. the other store was so bad the first time I tried to coupon.. I refuse to even go back there..
Be sure to click like and post a brag if you get the deal.. It makes my day!!! Flattery may just get you more deals
Be sure to double check your flyer, points and cashback offers~ YMMV

All CTs are independently owned so it is up to store discretion whether to accept coupons or not. The PM policy I think is advertised in their flyer so it should be a corporate policy. I know the stores are slowly upgrading their tills and the new system is more coupon friendly. Because the stores are independently owned I can understand why they do a print off for each coupon used. For them it's a lot less hassel to do it that way than to be audited for their coupon acceptance.

My Cdn Tire has the worst customer service! It's slow...reaaaaaaally slow. The amount of paperwork that they have to complete for one transaction is crazy! They never have more than 2 people on, but usually it's only 1. I always try to make sure that what I'm buying won't need to be returned so I don't hve to stand in the big line up to wait to make a return!

I recently been doing since I started couponing. It's awesome. Get a pm and !0% ct money, MORE MONEY IN MY POCKET. I tried to support canadian stores but it's been hard since wm has lower price, one stop shop and trying to save money. I hope canadian tire and zellers will lower there prices to compete with wm. I will be pming as much as I can at ct to support them. I can't shop at zellers since it would cost me $5 to take the bus.
