Rank coupon find!! Booo!

So I was at Sobeys and saw the cans of Carnation Hot Choc. on for 3.99 and they had the $6 in coupons on the reverse side of the label. So being the sucker I am for coupons I bought one... got it home all excited and when I took off the label - all but 2 were all EXPIRED (as far back as March!!!)
I had also snatched a couple of hang tags off of some Crisco Oil that I had never seen before (aka newly put on in the last week or so) and they were expired in FEBRUARY!!!
That just sucks.

I bought all that $2 purex at WM to find the coupons were expired.

There's nothing worse than getting excited by a new coupon find only to learn the coupon is already expired. It happens to me all the time.

There are new ones out this year - only difference I can see from outside of can is that the new ones have AERO under the labels (says so on label)

That does suck, yesterday I bought the Honey bunches of oats cereal on sale at SD that I had a coupon for, inside the box you also get a PIN for a free hockey shirt ~ excellent deal ~ turns out the darn contest closed back in the spring.

I'd email the company.

That happened to me at SDM once. I bought cereal for a movie promo on the box, got it home and the coupons expired 6+ months before.

I called the company and complained. They ask for all the specifcs and sent me 2 FPC's and assured me they would contact the specific SDM and tell them to pull them from the shelves (I never checked to see if they did, I was just happy with my FPC's).

I'm guessing the stock was really old. lol

The hot chocolate should have an expiry date on the can hopefully.The Carnation hot chocolate 10 pack box I bought recently at Dollarama expires in 2013.So last years hot chocolate should be good until 2012.

I would totally bring it bk. get your money bk. and still email the compant. my gf bought cereal and it was expired. sh emailed company. got fpcs and coupons.

Biore ALWAYS has expired coupons in their nose strip packages. Drives me nuts. What's the point??? And agreed - how old is the product if the coupon's had time to sit on a shelf and expire! Found pop tarts at a local no frills, and the box itself said "expire X" on the outside. Like c'mon here people!

unless the product itself is expired, i'd never complain about the coupons on the outside of the product being expired.. the way i look at it is, i need the product anyway, the extra coupons are just a bonus

I hate it when people take all the hang tags, they are ment for the people buying the product

I have no sympathy for you because you shouldnt be ''snatching'' hang tags off products you had no intention of buying.

I am sorry but that to me sounds like a really mean post. I agree those hang tags are for people buying the product but I also sometimes buy a product not very often and I will either take the hang tag off or pick one without one, so those who use the product more than me can use the savings. I am all about saving money but sometimes a RAOK is better than saving a buck or two.
