    Yes, there is a B$100G100 coupon in today's insert.

    Came in at $102 and picked up 165AMs.

    Not my usual haul as everything is for our Christmas Open House.

    Not sure this is the right place to ask this but is it just me or is any one else having trouble getting on the airmiles website?

    Thanks - not trying to hijack your thread.

    Happens every once in a while.

    Sometimes it's a browser issue. Try closing your browser and relaunching or going back in an hour.

    Sure. This thread is titled Safeway but that's because that's where you can maximize your return. We often talk/post other AirMile offers here. Anything that helps us all.

    Crest Pro Health (170 ml) is $2.89. It's B2G20 airmiles.

    There are $1.50 coupons for this size floating around - mostly down East but if you happen to have a stash here's how it'll work.

    2*2.89 - (2 coupons*1.50) = $2.67

    $2.67 - AirMiles (.14 * 20) = -0.13 plus taxes

    Let's buy 20.

    20 Crest
    Earn 200 airmiles.
    Ahead $2.60 (still owe tax)
    Donate $57.80 (plus the taxes) to a local shelter.
    Get a donation receipt and some $$ back at tax time.

    Let's do 40.
    You could do a few less than 40 to hit the $100 mark.

    So double the above list and collect 100 Airmiles bonus.

    Dec. 20-Jan. 2 (2 Weeks):

    In the following first number is sale price. Second number is effective value based on $0.14/AM). If there is a multiple offer, ie, B3G15 & B6G45 a third number corresponds to the value of the extra offer.
    With effective valuing you can compare the relative prices of a product after accounting for the AirMiles against the same product in another store. For example,
    If Coca-Cola is $2.00 with 10 Airmiles it has an effective value of $0.60 [$2 - (10 x $0.14)]. If another store is selling the same product for $1 you know the effect of the AirMiles beats that price.
    Print off a copy of the following to take comparison shopping.

    SS = Safeway Select
    Saf = Safeway
    Sig =Signature
    Sch = Schneider's

    Nada

    Let me know if I've missed anything.
    I'm a bit surprised as Safeway usually has tremendous offers at this time of year. Hopefully the email.direct is better as well as next week.
    Also, if you do use your AMs for flights instead of products in all likelihood you can set the effective prices lower. However, it is always a good thing to cross reference with an Airlines website prices to make sure. Don't forget you pay the taxes extra.

    Note: In the past the cheese deal has been B2G50 so not as good. Guess they're starting to cut back:

    Actually the cheese deal might not be that bad.

    In the past I believe it was B2G50 on 675g.

    This B2G40 offer is on smaller packages around 450-475.

    Will have to check it out to make sure.

    Seems they've started limiting AMs on these kinds of purchases to a maximum 500AMs/day.

    12 will get you 100AMs

    60 will get you 500AMs

    66 will get you 500AMs not 550AMs

    Just cashed in 6,000AMs for a 7 day Mexico cruise on Princess.

    Outside cabin after port taxes: $496.05 Canadian each.

    After Marlin AM gift certificates: $96.05 Canadian each. (Approx. $14/day)

    Thank you Safeway.

    Will now attempt to book flight with AMs.
