Thanks OB. Love Conagra & the frozen food events. Hunts (our fav pasta sauce) effectively works out to less than $1 per can. Looking for coupons for this product??? anyone have?
thanks OB for the update, I don't get my flyer till Wednesday next week!
BTW: Update
1) Safeway did not put out "WeCare" booklets this February.
Too bad as they were terrific. I asked at Customer Services and was told the staff fund raising was being revamped. I hope they come out with something similar soon. Keep your eyes open at the check outs for any new booklets.
2) Price Alert.
Awhile back Knorr came out with "colourful soups" in tetra packs. They charged a dollar more than their regular tetra packs but I suspect the only difference was the package. Regardless, I don't think these were selling well and the product became sparser on the shelves and the prices started dropping.
Safeway might be clearing product and they have a "Knorr" tie-in with other products this coming week that looks good:
On the colourful soups some stores wanted as much as $3.99 for these. This week at Safeway they're:
2 for $5
There are also $1 coupons out there so you could get:
2 for $3
If you buy 2 you'd also get $4 off a "lumberjack" sub sandwich. These are usually around $10 and can feed an army. As far as prepared subs go I find this one good value.
There are also other tie-ins:
B3Sidekicks get 50% off a roasted chicken
B2Frozen Entrees G50% off Breyers Ice Cream
B3Sauces G$4 off Beef Roast

Recieved the safeway flyer, only good deal i can see so far is the Michelinas frozen dinners, you recieve 50 Am if you buy 5, it works out to 50 cents each. (based on 0.125c per AM)
If your total purchases for the week are going to be around $80 i would suggest picking up a dozen of these as the buy 5 get 50Am, and the spend 100 get 100 AM combined will make these free.
SUPER OUTSTANDING AIRMILES Special FOR March 15-21
Just got my early flyer after returning from Calgary.
There's a General Mills B6G100 offer on:

Nature Valley Sweet & Salty bars $2.50 per box
Hamburger Helper $2.50 each
Betty Crocker Fruit Snack $2.50 per box
a. Let's not even consider coupons first or the cereal.
Any 6 of the other products will cost you $15 and you pick up approx. $14 in AirMiles.
b. There are some $0.50 coupons out there. If you could maximize that:
Any 6 of the other products will cost you $15 - $3 = $12 and you pick up approx. $14 in AirMiles.
c. Consider the cereal. Oatmeal Crisp is eligible. There are still free movie boxes on the shelves:
Any 6 of the Oatmeal Crisp will cost you $21 and you pick up approx. $14 in AirMiles plus approx. $50 to $60 worth of movie passes.
There are $0.50coupons out there. Maximize and:Any 6 of the Oatmeal Crisp will cost you $21 - $3 = $18 and you pick up approx. $14 in AirMiles plus approx. $50 to $60 worth of movie passes.
d. There are B3G1 coupons on Hamburger helper out. Used in combination with 2 Oatmeal Crisp (for example) plus coupons:

e. You could take any of the above, donate directly to a food bank and depending on tax bracket get 50% of your cost back.
On the Oatmeal Crisp + Coupons donated example above an $18 expenditure could be worth.
$9 tax reduction
$14 AMs
$60 in movie tickets.
In other words:

Anyone know what flavours are offered for the 4L ice cream?
does anyone know what other General Mills products are also part of the B6G100? I'm wondering if Tuna Helper is too, as well as any other items. If you've been to the store already and have the slip of paper would you mind posting these? Thanks:)
It appears Tuna Helper is eligible.
Thanks:)
I see the cereal boxes with the $10 in coupons on the box are back on the shelves (at least at Thrifty's).
As the AM special on Eggos comes up regularly it might be worth loading if you eat a lot of Rice Crispies! ;-)
Coupons appear to be good until Dec. 31.
Apparently the Eggo coupon is for larger boxes.
Bought 4 cereal today with the free movie ticket.
The offer is different this time than last:
Odeon Cineplex
Sunday to Thursday only
February: B1G1
March: Free small drink
April: 1 Free admission
May: Free small popcorn
Guess I'm going to a lot of movies in April!
for airmile bonus without the coupons item, do we have to buy all in one transaction within the week? for ex. buy 5 earn 50 airmiles. can i buy 3 today and by the other 2 tommorrow?
All 5 at once.
I have the March 22 - 28 flyer.
Nothing particularly outstanding this coming week.
Perhaps the best is Kellogg's B5G50 but last week General Mills with similar prices was B6G100.
Nutri-Grain bars and Pop-Tarts: 4 for $10
Muslix 675g-775g 2 for $6
Assorted cereals 300g-750g 2 for $6
Eggos (big boxes) $6.99
Rice Crispies and assorted 2 for $7
Kimberly Clark products B5G75
J&J B4G40
Signature Cafe Meals- any 3 Entrees, sides or salads B3G25
Just an alert.
There doesn't seem to be many coupons out there these days but one that seems plentiful are B2G$1 on Kellogg's bar products of which Nutri-Grain and Pop-Tarts qualify.
I suspect there will be a B$100G100AM bonus in the email-direct this Saturday night but can't really say. But if there is and depending on your credit card (mine gets 1AM/$10 at Safeway) how well could you do?
Using the coupons:
5 = $10 G50 AMs
50 = $100 G500AMs + 100 AM bonus + 10AMs credit card = 610 AMs
610 = $85.40 in AMs approx
Turn around and donate everything to a food bank possibly getting a $50 reduction in taxes.
Thus $100 spent = $85.40 + $50 = $135.40 benefit elsewhere.
In other words a 35.4% return on investment.
This is out early so hopefully we'll get a bonus AM email later tonight:

this is the week i need to stock up on cereal and lunch snacks.....so ......
this is my plan
buy 10 boxes of cereal....i checked and 4 varieties have the $10 in coupons
on sale 2/$7....i have B2S$2....so $25
then cut out coupons for nutrigrain etc
go back with coupons and get them for $.50 a box x10...on sale 4/$10
if you do it with all the coupons you could end up with 400 am for $40 which is worth $50 at the bay..or $40 in gas with 50 miles left over
was thinkin of you OB when i saw this...lol
and to day im taking 6 FPC for herbal essenses on sale for $2.50.....buy 6 get 40 AM
and 2 x $10 off 3 olay body washes on for $3.99...another 40 am
mom,
I saw the thread earlier about people signing up for Wow??????? and getting 10 free FPCs in the mail but I can't find it now.
Do you recall the thread?
I think we should take all these AirMiles and do a group cruise somewhere what with all these discounted cruises right now! LOL!
the matchstick thread is closed now...too bad
yeah you could do it with enough cereal.....and carnival just announced they will stop in victoria now instead of vancouver
I wouldn't buy a cruise from Carnival or any other offered on the AirMiles website.
Instead I'd exchange for Marlin gift certificates and book through them. They'll match anyone else's advertised prices so you'd get better prices and more choice.
Carnival is my least favourite cruise line.

I did the same deal too, Mom...when I went back with 20 coupons (nutrigrain, krispie bars and sticks and raisin bran), the girl at the cash was so impressed - got five of each of those listed for only $12.50. What an awesome deal, especially when you consider how much the airmiles are worth!!
