I posted this elsewhere:
Note: With Safeway (my primary grocer) you have to watch prices. They seem to do a bit of bait and reel you in. For example they used to offer "Extreme AirMile Specials" every once in awhile. Over time they started boosting the prices on these offers as many people are addicted to Airmiles.
Friday's specials has become extremely popular for them. As a result they might not be offering competitive prices and just relying on popularity to boost sales.
Example for this week:
Blueberries 4lb package. Household weekly limit 2. $10 each
Pro-rated 4lbs = $8.88 vs Safeway's 1 day Friday sale price of $10.

Ya I haven't seen a 100 airmiles coupon at all this month. I really wanted to stock up on some groceries, Safeway's loss I guess.
Thankfully the crispy minis offer was able to give me enough miles to book our flights.

I looked at the list for the new p&g coupons and i found no match ups this time. This flyer is not as coupon friendly. In the safeway wine and spirits flyer there is a spend 100 get 100... it would take me years and years to spend that much on "spirits"... that is ok we make up for it in soft drinks. I might pick up some of the dr pepper for 3.33 each and use the $2 off wub2 coupons. $2.33 is reasonable to me. I may pick up some blueberries too and make jam and syrup and possibly some pie filling with it. I did have to explain to mom it is a limit of 2 per card per store.

oh there is this one friday deal.... herbal essence 4 for $5 and there is a coupon for - $0.50 off any Herbal Essences product ... So if you can get your hands on 4 coupons it works out to 4 for $3 or .75 cents each... that is a pretty good deal.
