So, are there any decent offers this week in your opinions?
Funny you should ask, OB...just got back with 555 AM on 104$ spend...trick was my sandbagged rain check for 30 Michelina's at B10G100 AM, and the emailed S100G100AM coupon (which I understand was NOT in any fliers, but only emailed to us loyal customers), and the Pillsbury pizza pops (which were priced here at $4.99, which helps the math). Anyhow to answer your question, nah, not really, but I have realized the value of the rain check, especially when the sold out item is no limit AND has AM attached to it. Talk about oddball pricing the Michelina's were priced at 3 for 7$ on sale, vs. the 3 for 5$ and AM on the rain check...so I await for extra "rain check" AM that I've included in the above total (like the coffee screw up from last month, I will have to wait for these AM as well).
Guess I'll have to make one more trip this week, anyway, to get all those "free" chocolate bars I won on the scratch cards :)
My take was:
3 Apple Juice
2Chocolate Bars
1 Bag of Potato Chips
1 Back Pack.
Really wanted the trip to LV though! ;-)
It was a pretty lacklustre flyer again this week! The batteries were decent if you didn't already have a stock pile of batteries from the previous weeks of this bonus. Hopefully something better is coming up for next week! *patiently awaiting your next analysis post* :-)
Oh and my take from the pull cards = 1 chocolate bar.... Better than nothing I guess!
Well guess we'll have to pay for those Vegas trips, OB...just not full price!!
My Safeway odyssey continued--did decide to go back for more Michelina's pizza pops, and fun :)
So here's the story for today:
Ah these kids needs to learn the math--went through the cashier with the rain check (like yesterday's it was for 30 of them at 3 for 5$ B10G100AM), so the cashier wants no part of the calculations involved, so he gives it to his boss at customer service to figure it out. In the meantime, he rings in the coupons (buy 100$ get 100AM, spend 40 get 50AM, and a 10$ discount which I guess relates to the coupon from last week), his boss comes back with the override key and calculations, and then rings in a 70$ CREDIT (was fairly simple math, of course, as I explained it--it was 3 for 5$, they were selling 3 for 7$, bought 30, so knock 20$ off). So they finally corrected the mistake (I want every legal advantage I can get, but not this way) and now with this 10$ discount, I'm short of the 100$ mark--run over the bakery, grab two packs of Persians, and then I'm back in business. Then I went to customer service to get the AM adjustment, who do I see, same person that made the math mistake!! Anyhow, it all went very nicely, and when all the adjustments hit, I'll get the 605 AM's, the Persians were dropped off at a sick friend's, my freezer is crammed tight with food (such that I had to stick some duct tape on it to keep it shut). But now all is quiet, I'm watching football, and I just have to wait for the AM's to hit my account.
Life is good!!
Just happened to be in Safeway and was looking at these two items.Quote:
Italian Days Event B5G40:
Catelli Pasta 3.50/2.66
Giovanni Pasta 1.67/0.83
The Giovanni is 454g and the best by weight of the Catelli is 900g. Essentially this means 2 packages of Giovanni equal 1 package of Catelli but you collect a full 2 x 8AMs = 16 AMs on the Giovanni.
Catelli is $3.50/$2.66 for 900g
Giovanni is $3.34/$1.66 for 908g
You're far better off buying the Giovanni and more easily accumulate Airmiles on this item.
There is also a coupon the Giovani from www.websaver.ca if you can get a raincheck, is worth waiting for the coupons :)
Thanks to Fallen Pixels for deleting the spam.
New Entertainment Books arrived today.
A big improvement is much larger Safeway coupons that are easier to cut out and easier for the cashiers to read.

From 8:30 AM Wednesday last week to 8:30 AM Wednesday this week we've had 4,155 hits (OK, so yes, I'm counting).
I was curious as I'd noticed the last while we seemed to getting over 3,000 hits/week. As we'd gone over 400,000 total was just a bit curious as to when we might hit half a million. If this keeps up that should happen around the end of January.
