Just a note...I went to Safeway to scout out their Barilla pasta and they don't have whole wheat! They checked their ordering database and its not on SWs list of stuff they can get in even as a special order....grrrrr!

Seems to be a pattern here--prices on a lot of items seem to have been goosed up by at least 10% from what they were a week or two ago--so the savings aren't that great, as OB said. And yet a lot of people will go shopping on Tuesday and get 10X base AM, instead of 10% off, probably the same people who bid 3,000 AM for a $100 Safeway gift card

Just a quick note. I mentioned a little while back about the bonus AMs on redemption of AM cash. They actually hit my account yesterday. Nice little bonus of 325AM.

emax, I just wanted to thank you for your amazing contributions to the Safeway eAuction game. I just got the $3000 VIA rail GC for only 9075 AMs!! Right now you can buy the same amount of VIA Rail GCs on their website for 21,450 AMs (regular 28,500 AMs), so this is an AWESOME deal. It's for my parents. Your google docs have helped me immensely in planning and strategizing, and I just wanted to make sure you know how happy I am today and how much I appreciate your work! (feel free to add a "DOH" comment about the brilliant bidder who won this auction, LOL!) I'm a happy, happy girl THANK YOU!

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before. I had some Advil coupons I had printed on my computer and Safeway advised me that they are no longer accepting manufacturer's coupons that we print on our computers. They said it was because of fraud so they no longer will accept any printed coupons. On a seperate note I still have not received my airmiles even after SW verified my receipt over a month ago now. I know next time to get a phantom receipt done as some of you mentioned. Just more reasons I will be doing less shopping at SW and more at the competition.

Internet Printed Coupons:
We gladly accept internet printed coupons. The same manufacturer and store coupon rules above apply to all internet printed coupons.
Internet printed coupons must have serial numbers and must follow an industry-standard format.
Manufacturer internet printed coupons must clearly indicate that they are a manufacturer coupon and must have a Canadian redemption or clearing house address on the printed coupon.
We will not accept "free product" internet printed manufacturer coupons.
Full policy here (unless there's a more recent one):
http://www.safeway.ca/pdfs/coupon_policy.pdf
As to your missing AMs, it can take 6 to 8 weeks and you have to look back in your account to the original date of purchase not the latest date. So make sure of that if you haven't already.

I go to the Shelborne and McKenzie store that you go to. I had 3 $2 coupons printed for Advil on the buy 3 get 50 plus 25% promotion. The deal is good but when I gave the cashier my coupons she took a long look at them then called the manager asking if the policy was to not accept printed coupons. The answer was they won't accept them anymore because of fraud. I was told it is Safeway's policy now. I was disappointed and thought I'd post it here. Perhaps you could look into this. Thanks. If this is their policy (which they have the right to impose) then it is just another reason more of my shopping and I suspect others will opt to shop elsewhere for more of their grocery products.
