Rec'd my Onyx cards. The info brochure says " Access everything from designer shoes to...a luxury car? That's right, our Personal Shopper Service helped Carl from Edmonton use his dream miles to get a Mercedes". How many airmiles did this guy have???????
I am having a seniors moment...is there no WUS at Rexall this week I see the $10 on $30 and there is always the $5 on $25, but where are the WUS's.....definitely loosin' it! LOL!
So I applied for the BMO Air Miles World Elite Card for the bonus miles and figured I would start aggressively collecting AM again... Wow! Does the Safeway flyer suck this week. No bonus items worth buying and I don't even know if I could spend $100 to earn 100 AM!!! That's pretty sad, considering I was Onyx for years and used tens of thousands of miles on flights, merchandise and e-auction... Besides the shop the block and signing up for credit cards, not much in the program for me anymore, but I'll keep trying!
Thanks. We don't get flyers at the house anymore, so I don't think of going to Safeway/Sobey's unless I drive by it. We have a Superstore and new Save on Foods which gets my small grocery shops ($50 once per week) and its Costco for the rest. I find Costco has the best produce, best meats and for the most part, is less expensive than anywhere else - even if you factor in the sales/AM etc.
Usually it’s the last/first Friday of the month either look here or the flyer online. Never shopped at Costco but sometimes you get some great deals factoring in the airmiles.

April 27 Only!
I had a hectic morning... I went to one store early at 8am and the shelf was cleared. I looked around couldn't find a display
I went to another Safeway and the shelf was full I got all 16 cans. On my way out I saw a pallet of cases tucked in some obscure corner.
I bought another 24.
So moral of the storey There might be cases of this stuff that you'll have to look for.
On another note the Wonderful Pistachios are an AMAZING Deal! B2 @ $8.99 get 75 miles!
That's basically $10 a KG which is phenomenal in the Pistachio lovers world!
Ok I ended up getting
40 Grace Coco = 500 miles
12 Pistachios = 450 miles
3 Europe's best = 40 miles
4 Magnum bars = 100 miles
Spend $100 = 100 miles
Spent about $200 and got 1190 miles.....
Damn wish I had a safeway

Even though the flyer says and also told by Safeway staff that the limit is 500AM per bonus offer, I bought 68 cans of coconut water and got 850 AM for it. Plus 100AM +6 basic AM. It also allowed me to redeem $120 worth of AM to pay it. They must have changed their system so the base Miles is calculated based on the total bill, not before taxes, fees, deposit. Also it allows you to redeem your AM cash miles on the total bill, not just before taxes, fees and deposit.
Does anyone have any idea when the Mega Miles rewards will be added?
I was going to get the coconut water but it is LOADED (let me repeated LOADED) with sugar. Might as well buy coca cola original. I couldn't fathom myself to get it as my blood sugar levels won't handle it. I forget about the pistachios, but again, with the added salt, is it worth it for the blood pressure? Same with the Ben&Jerry's ice cream, which is a good deal actually, but I know it will be gone as soon as its brought home. Let's not start with the bacon. At least the healthy tomatoes were on sale. In the end, I spent about $415 and got 415 airmiles - mostly chicken breast (2 boxes), pork cutlets (1 family pack) and the rest in fresh vegetables. I am ok with my haul - focussing on fresh food is making a big difference, now hopefully if I can keep it up - the usual health indicators were be back to normal soon enough.
Ya I already ate a box of those bloody magnum bars Saturday night lol
