The funny thing is I was looking at last years flyer in the archive the other day and it was dollar days with not any great deals so I get today's flyer and voila Dollar days. If last year is any indication than June isn't going to be a good month.
The royale deal buy 3 get 80 is a great deal with coupons, but I only wipe with Purex!
The Old dutch promo is back. I think last year it was buy 4 @$2.50 get 25miles. The good thing about this week of old dutch over the past few weeks is that the baked are included. time to stock up on some old dutch baked chips.
If the Old Dutch crunch ( sundried tomato basil ) and Ariba spicy Calzone chips included it has .50 coupon printable at their website newatsafeway.ca

Thanks OB!. Doesn't seem to be much for air miles this week. Will stay on the lookout for unadvertised ones!
Here's another "Non AirMiles" savings tip.
I keep a $US credit card.
When our dollar is up I buy $US so as an example let's say even after exchange rate I got $1 US for $1 Canuck.
Many websites allow you to purchase in either currency and the rates change daily according to the exchange rate.
When the $ Canuck has fallen (as it is now doing) it can be to your benefit to buy with the $US credit card. Here's an example.
I'm looking at a hotel that's $170/night Canadian but is $145 US.
Because I bought $US previously when I got $1US = $ Canuck the $170 Canuck = $170 US but I'm only paying the equivalent of $145 Canadian leaving me with $25 US which is worth more now because our dollar has dropped wiping out the cost of the exchange rate.
I used this very effectively a few years back. Our $ had had gone to $1.10 US so bought as much as possible. We dropped back to $0.82 about a year later. We attended a convention and saved over $400 in accommodations vs. our friends doing this.
PS: BW was/is not an option on either of these stays.
I'm assuming VegasP will like this tip if not using it already!
Certainement, OB, certainement!!! In the early days of Expedia and other travel booking sites (Northwest Airlines comes to mind--so I've been doing this for a while) one had the option to pay in either currency, and a lot of times, their websites didn't keep up with currency fluctuations, so another opportunity presented itself (mind you that was a decade or so ago, and computer programs are much more efficient, alas).
But like certain gaming situations, an advantage play will present itself every so often, as you've correctly pointed out.
And of course, I prefer to use my AM US$ MC, to not only rack up a few AM's, but I believe it also counts as a separate merchant (vs. BMO Canadian $ MC) towards the 5 needed for Gold qualification, which means nothing this year to me, but the rules may change down the road.
hopefully some good email direct coupons come tomorrow. Those have been pretty bad for awhile too.
The eggs are an even better deal if you have Websaver's $1.00 off wub 2, making them $1.50 each!
