Was able to get into my email today. Nice thing about this email is that despite the down periods PDF files come copyable so I can repost them here:

I just signed up for the e-mail direct coupons. I think this is exciting!
What ever happened to the Superstore ones? Anyone know?
Had to work this morning.
By the time I got to Safeway all the 18 tin packages were gone! Are we surprised? LOL!
Anyway they're giving me rain cheques that included the AirMiles.
On another tack. A friend tried running the B$40G50AM coupon through the till even though it's expired. It went through so give it a try:

Nice to know! I might have to try that, I can play dumb!!!
How much are the 18 can packs? Is the deal worth it?
Next week's are available:

I hear the ribs are good! ;-)
Marten,
Read back not just the last post.

Was just in Safeway and saw they have Dare "Breton" crackers (225g) on 2@$6(???) with a B3G20AMs as well.
If you have coupons this would be a good one.
Nov. 16 is up already.
I'll have to check the Lasagna price tomorrow:
http://www.safeway.ca/emaildirect/of...ct_47_2008.pdf
Does Safeway price match?
Unfortunately no.
Alert on one of the email.direct offers: Buy 4 Old Dutch Boxes Get 30 AMs
Safeway also has an in flyer Old Dutch offer of Buy 5 Get 30 AMs (Boxes are not eligible for this offer).
Which is the better offer?
This is one of those you have to keep an eye on. You only have to buy 4 boxes to get 30 AMs. It looks better on face but is it really better?
Boxes: 180g @ $2.99 each = $11.96 to get 30 AMs
Inflyer: Large bags are 220g-235g @ $2.50 each = $12.50 to get 30 AMs = $0.54 more.
However, the inflyer bags are larger. Even if you choose the smallest 220g then to get the equivalent weight in boxes it would cost:
$11.96 x (220/180) = $14.62
The inflyer offer is superior.
Further you can get the Kettle Chips in larger packages as part of the flyer and they taste much better IMO.
Should add that I don't see the potato chips as a particularly great offer.
You're getting 6 AMs/package which works out to approx. $0.84 value.
That means the effective price is $2.49 - $0.84 = $1.65/package.
I'm sure you can buy President's choice or similar quality for around that price elsewhere.
Mind you if you use the AMs to buy 2 for 1 movie tickets or similar then it's a very good deal but I wouldn't rush to use this offer to pump up your AirMiles.
thank you
Next week's email.direct specials can be found here:

Page 1 shows as blank on my screen.
My wife made a huge lasagna that we've been eating for 3 days now. Don't know if I could use this offer. LOL!

On the Poppie's Chocolate Temptations:
Costco is selling the 56 piece box for $15.59 here.
The pro-rated equivalent selling price on a 40 piece box would be $11.14.
I don't know what Safeway is selling the 40 box for but if you value AMs $0.14/AM then 50 AMs is approx. = $7.
Safeway would have to be selling the 40 piece box below $11.14 + $7 = $18.14 to be a better value than Costco.
Thank you
Well, next week's is sorta up.
Been able to access it since Tuesday but it seems rather incomplete so far. I'm wondering if when it comes out officially it will have AirMiles attached to the gift cards. Last time it was 60 AMs per $100 of cards which is about 8.4%.
Also, it appears Safeway "unsubscribed" me again on email.direct. Took about 2 months last time to get it fixed. Because I sent so many e-mails over it last time they stopped responding (the emails were polite). I've sent more than 5 this time already and received no responses so I've contacted head office.
So, it would be a great help if someone can post the coupons when they come out officially:

I hope someone can post
I see "Rep Power" is back up again!
Whad' I do?
I seem to have dropped from around 350 to 8!
Who's mad at me! LOL!
How 'bout the rest of you?
Why do you need rep power?
So you have to hear about my sweet AM deal last night! I went to pick up the 3 for $8 McCain Oven Roasts and 3 for $8 Green Giant. They were buy any 5 and get 50 airmiles. I bought 3 Oven roasts less a save $4 WUB3 coupon plus 3 x $0.50 coupons, paying only $2.50 for my potatoes, then i bought 2 bags of green giant veggies at $2.67 each less 2 x $1 manufacturers coupons. So I paid $5.84 plus tax and got all those groceries AND my 50 bonus airmiles. I felt like I was robbing them...It was a good night at the local Safeway, over $100 of groceries, paid just over $53 for it all....thank you Smart Canucks!!!
As for the Safeway email, I rarely get it, like maybe once a month does it make it to my inbox. I simply come here to see it. So I guess we're all sunk if we can't get it eh?
Oh and I have no freaking idea how much rep I had or have...never thought to check! But I don't think anyone has anything out for you!
Have a good one!
Wanda
Apparently I suck...I have only 3? what does that mean? Oh well...off to save some moola!!!
sh,
Not for me!Quote:
Why do you need rep power?
For my ego! ;-)
scrap,
Love it! You made $1.16! and still have the product.Quote:
So I paid $5.84 plus tax and got all those groceries AND my 50 bonus airmiles.
My wife goes nuts when I bring home bulk. I'll have to buy her a freezer (through Rona for the bonus AMs!)
Do you contact the manufacturers for coupons directly BTW?
Great job! I almost did the same, minus green giant $1 coupons. Gives the warm and fuzzy feeling
OB - I'm sending some rep your way right now. I really don't know what it's for but don't want your ego hurt :P
I always get the email direct, but not until Sunday night. I will definitely post as soon as I get it.
OK, some potential this week.
The email.direct shows 2 Quaker products B1G1.
Next week's flyer is out in our community paper already.
It has a B3G50 on Quaker Chewy bars and Oatmeal Squares, assorted varieties at $2.69 each (They are on sale at $2.98 at one of our local discount markets right now).
Now, most likely there is no cross-over but I intend to look in the store because if there is you'll pick up 100 AMs on 3 paid for 3 free.
Even if there is no crossover this is a good deal if you buy this stuff:
3 x $2.69 = $8.07
Minus $7 for 50 AMs you're effectively paying $1.07/3 = $0.36/box
Better yet Tuesday is customer appreciation day. As part of a $35 total purchase it's $8.07 - $0.81 = $7.06 - $7 in AMs = $0.06 or effectively $0.02/box.
Got coupons? Better yet! I think I had some but threw them out this week. If my wife hasn't emptied the recycling bag I might luck out.
Another not bad deal: Smucker's B5G40AMs = $5.60
Crisco is $2 each.
Buying 5 of CA day = $9 - $5.60AMs = $3.40 or $0.68 each effectively.
