It occurred to me today that Bob has number issues and a little trouble. At the beginning of this thread it says... just a few thoughts!

Did anyone participated the Bonus AM event last weekend at Shell?
I did 4 times($20 V power gas and $5o GC) last saturday. I just went to check my airmiles account today, I have only gotten credited 4 X base points, but no bonus AMs. I remember base and bonus AMs usually post at the same time, but I could be wrong.
Every other time I've received the bonus at the same time as base miles.

The roses deal used to be 9/$5 now it's 5/$5. I always buy some for myself, (their from my hubby,he knows he always buys me roses when they have this deal)but I think Costco sells 2 dozen for $17.99, so they are a better deal there. That said its nice to just spend $5!

LOL your going to like this... No Egg, No Milk... No Dairy at all. This is not just a good loaf it is also budget friendly and can be made with just a few ingredients. I am giving you the breadmaker version... just double it if your making it by hand and baking it in the oven... if it is by hand and in the oven you will get 3-4 loafs depending on how you divide it up.
3 cups of flour
1/6th of a cup of oil (i just fill a 1/3 cup measure about half way)
3 TBSP sugar
1 TBSP of yeast
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 Cup of warm water
1 tsp of Cinnamon
1 cup of raisins (reserve this until the bread machine beeps to add in more ingredients.)
Proof the yeast in the water with sugar.... add all ingredients to the breadmaker (as per factory instructions)...Turn on the bread machine and let it do the hard work... watch your dough to see if it needs more flour or water and adjust as needed... when the machine beeps you add in your raisins.
If you pull your dough out of the machine to bake it in the oven (I do because the bread won't fit in my toaster... this makes a big loaf)... divide it into 2 and put in a oiled pan and let it rise (it will more then double then bake at 350 until it is golden brown and when you knock on it it makes a hollow sound. When the bread is done butter the top to get a soft crust.
You can use this recipe to get a plain white loaf of bread by making these adjustments:
3 cups of flour
1/6th of a cup of oil (i just fill a 1/3 cup measure about half way)
1 1/2 TBSP sugar
1 TBSP of yeast
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 Cup of warm water
I got this recipe for the dough off youtube.... from a pro baker and I just sized it to suit my needs. Recipes with the 4 cups of flour and milk and egg are heavy... this is much lighter and cheaper to make. The cinnamon raisin loaf is the same kind of weight and texture of the cinnamon raisin bread in stores... a little heavier then normal white bread and not as heavy as normal homemade bread.
If you don't have a bread machine and you want one.... this is a don't buy new appliance. There are always some in thrift stores and at yard sales... people use it for a week... then it becomes a expensive dust collector.Last edited by cheekysaver; Sat, Jul 20th, 2013 at 01:44 PM.

Very nice Cheeky I do the same thing. Go through all the flyers and find the best deals at each one. I don't have no frills but I do have a Save-on (they have some great prices this week). So I am ready to shop too. For me Safeway just has a few 3 day sale items I am interested in. That's it. So the other stores will get my money this week.
