Yes, I've mentioned PC Plus & the BMO Elite Mastercard (vs. the Gold Air Miles card) and it's been censored. I'll have to check to see if my recent posts were censored as we just got home from the weekend. Then again Airmiles might not use weekend mods to peruse the posting.

Why would people other than Airmiles employees hit the like button? With your new booking system you can no longer book your level of room, you can't claim membership discounts such as senior's or CAA, you won't get any BW Rewards points and if you have to cancel you lose the Airmiles used to make the booking. Oh, and not to forget, you now charge us a $10.50 "Loyalty Fee" to go along with the wonderful new advantages! Shameful!

BTW: I didn't see what your FB post was there. Was it the same one as here Cheeks.
Watching Marketplace tonight and on their "Dumbest Fee In Canada" segment at the end they went after AVIS for charging a $0.75/day fee for the privilege of them giving you Miles for using them. It was/is called an FTP fee: frequent traveller plan
When questioned AVIS claimed it was industry wide. Marketplace checked and it seems every car rental is charging you a fee to give you a gift. Marketplace called it like giving a child a gift while at the same time cancelling their allowance to pay for it.
Marketplace checked all sorts of other retailers besides car rentals and none of them charged this stupid, unethical fee. Certainly this pales in comparison to what you've done with the new hotel booking system with it's $10.50 "Loyalty Fee". Is there a fee now to book car rentals too????? Shameful!
I'll certainly sign on for a class action lawsuit against these people if one gets started.

I didn't know your expertise extends to astrology, but here's a great prediction you made, already proven accurate:
I just checked the astrological forecast for Airmiles.ca. Jupiter trine Uranus this month is a warning that continued devaluing of airmiles will make customers seek new relationships with better loyalty programs. Venus Retrograde is associated with truthfulness -- failing to meet expectations that you set will have dire consequences.
Suitably sarcastic, shouldn't get spiked, but we'll see.I use DropBox to store my Las Vegas pictures, books, etc., online. It works on every device/computer that I use, and gives you 2.0GB of storage for FREE. Use the link below, sign up, and you and I will both get an EXTRA 500MB of storage, for FREE.

Airmiles.ca seems to be using the social media strategy of throwing all kinds of stuff on their Facebook page to try to obscure feedback from their actual customers. Let's see, in the past week they posted:
- Happy birthday to all our Sagittarius fans!
- It’s Make a Gift Day!
- Cyber Monday sale
- It would be Mark Twain’s 178th birthday today!
- and Happy Eat a Red Apple Day! (I mean, come on, are you kidding me?)
They even shamelessly used Nelson Mandela's passing as an opportunity to publish another post. All this tends to push actual commentary to the sidelines.

I was going to go to Safeway this week... I changed my mind. I have to prioritize my shopping trips and stress to fit my budget and health. So far this december I am doing pretty ok.... but safeway was the lowest level of savings on my list... so they got chopped.

Just came back from a big shop at Superstore. I don't typically go there (don't really like the big box experience, usually go to ExtraFoods which is more like my local Safeway) but with the new PCPlus points program why not check it out. They have a promo this week where you get 20,000 points (worth $20) for every $100 you spend, plus if you spend over $250 they give you a $25 gift card.
I ended up spending $260 which earned $40 worth of points plus the $25 gift card. Percentage wise that's far better than Safeway, the prices are cheaper to begin with, and the points are redeemable as cash (instead of waiting months to get airmiles credited and hoping they don't devalue further while you're waiting).
Gotta say, so far I'm digging Loblaw's new PCPlus loyalty program -- they don't have to be that good to be spectacularly better than what Airmiles has become.
It will be interesting to see what (if anything) Sobeys does with their Safeway acquisition in the face of increased competition from Loblaws.

I am so glad I passed on Safeway this week... my pain level is too high to go shopping right now. I used $510 worth of coupons yesterday with a $20 OOP including taxes.... time well spent in my books.

Planning a big shop at Superstore tonight, and I had a few questions. I did ask in the PC post but no answers. I bet Cheeky knows!
I was wondering if anyone knows if Superstore will PM London Drugs, and or Shoppers, and also, how many of an item can I buy with the PM?
I've just spent the last 90 minutes organizing coupons and flyers for this trip and just as I was about to head out, I get the call from the hubby that I need to pick up the kids in the city, so there goes 2 hours of my day. So much for me buying groceries for supper.
