    August 2 - August 8, 2009

Tuesday is Customer Appreciation Day: 10% off on a minimum $35 purchase.

In the following first number is sale price. Second number is effective value based on $0.14/AM). If there is a multiple offer, ie, B3G15 & B6G45 a third number corresponds to the value of the extra offer.

With effective valuing you can compare the relative prices of a product after accounting for the AirMiles against the same product in another store. For example,

If Coca-Cola is $2.00 with 10 Airmiles it has an effective value of $0.60 [$2 - (10 x $0.14)]. If another store is selling the same product for $1 you know the effect of the AirMiles beats that price.

Print off a copy of the following to take comparison shopping.

    P.1

    Coca Cola/Pepsi 12 tin B3G40 $3.99/$2.12 each

    General Mills Cereals 330g-500g B3G25 $3.49/$2.32 each

There's another in-store coupon book for charity too and some of those coupons probably work with some of the Safeway brands listed above. This booklet is to support Muscular Dystrophy I think.
Extra cash here - earn by searching/watching videos/doing offers on swagbucks - it's a legit site and pays reliably.

Already do swagbucks?try Instagc or pm me for invite codes for Gifthulk.

    Saw the booklets.

    How much are they asking?

See it has a B2G30 on Lucerne Ice Cream.

Prorated, if you had enough coupons that would add 75AMs to a B5 so you'd end up with 125AMs ($17.50) on a $$19.96 purchase. Not bad (except it doesn't account for the cost of the books).

Just wanted to say thanks to Opera Bob for getting me hooked on Air Miles deals! I just wanted to share about our shopping day yesterday, as some carefully planning beforehand allowed us to maximize our AMs and make a donation to the food bank that we normally wouldn't have been able to afford!!

One of our local stores had a coupon for 250 AMs when you spend $100. The following was split into two purchases (one for hubby, one for me) so we could do the wiener deal twice:

    20 x Mini Wheats (20/$50 - $20 coupons) = $30 + 200 AMs
    20 x Raisin Bran (20/$50 - $20 coupons) = $30 + 200 AMs
    20 x Bran Flakes (20/$50 - $20 coupons) = $30 + 200 AMs
    4 x Wieners - $21.96 + 150 AMs
    6 Dove deodorant : 6/$15 + 50 AMs
    3 1 lb Strawberries - $2.79 each + 30 AMs
    2 x 4 kg Chicken Breasts - $$52.72
    12 x Sunsilk - BOGO @ $3.13 = $18.78 + 100 AMs

The total (combined) including tax : $209.38 + 500 AMs
    Total AMs: 1430
    Total AM value (@$.142) = $203.06

    Total after AMs = $6.32

But by far the best part is that we were able to put all 60 boxes of cereal directly into the food bank bin. Which is good, because it never would have fit into our car with our two small kids

My two year old, though, was a little concerned that the staff were taking away the cereal we just bought - she kept saying "Where are they taking our groceries?" LOL Poor kid! After we explained that we were sharing it, she was much happier

The cashier was also impressed with our deals, but he did ask if there was any cereal left on the shelves He was going to call someone so they could restock!!

Thanks again Opera Bob and all you other AM deal hunters!!

Anyone got a price on the GreenWorks cleaner (B1G30 in the email.direct)?

Should be a good one as part of a Tuesday purchase.
