Personally, I find Complimentes brands of dubious quality but some of you might have a differing opinion. No AMs this week:

Do coupons count towards the total? I asked yesterday, but they said no
Re: The camera offer
Last weekend's Globe and Mail had an article on Aimia which runs Aeroplan. I know we discussed this a bit a year or so ago:
At the risk of an oversimplification, Aimia's loyalty program business works like this: Aimia sells the reward-program points to the credit-card issuer or retailers that award them to their customers. Then, when the customers go to cash in the points, Aimia buys the rewards for them. The keyt to profitability is selling the points for more than the rewards cost,...
1. Airmiles bought the cameras in bulk to get the best wholesale price.
2. More people are just using their cellphones now.
3. People just aren't interested in a "white" camera. They've become white elephants so to speak.
I've been waffling whether to buy or not and just use my cellphone but yesterday we were somewhere a good digital SLR would have been better as I had to telephoto in on the camera which pixelates images. You can get an attachable telephoto lens for a cellphone to correct that problem but it would be a PITA to carry around. So I think I'll go with the AM offer.

Bob, just a word of warning, I read that that camera doesn't take good videos. As long as that's not a feature you'd use, then it's probably a good deal. For me, that was a deal breaker as I tape my kids' races.

At first I thought it said 3 bacon for $5. It's $5 each. Lousy offer as we've been getting 375g size bacon around here for $2.49 as various weekly specials.
