    It said nothing about AirMiles.

I was just in Safeway and they are B5G50!!!

Most are $2.50 each but some (ER Kids Juices, Oven Joy Bread & Produce Peeled Carrots) are $1.67

    But !!!!!!!!!

Safeway Select Softly Tissues are $1.25 so 5 = $6.25 and you're being paid to shop getting $7 in AMs!

And even better Butcher's Cut Sliced Meats $1 so 5 = $5 and you get $7 worth of AirMiles. This would be a terrific food banker.

    Buy $100 worth and get 1,000 AMs + 100 AM bonus = 1,100 = $154 approx. value + $44 tax credit = $198.

So $100 spent gets approx. $198 value elsewhere.

Before doing this, I didn't actually see the B5 on the tissue and the sliced meats. However, every other product on the flyer I did see was marked B5G50 so I assume the same applies. Check it out first though.
yah didnt see this in store but will have to check it out

Was just shopping in Safeway and checked the sliced meats and tissues: no B5G50 sign.

Went by the cookies and the B5G50 sign there yesterday was gone.

Bought crackers and pasta which had B5G50 signs and SS Softly TP which had a B2G50 sign.

AMs were credited on the TP but not on the crackers and pasta. Talked to the manager who admitted the B5G50 signs were legitimate, has credited me the AMs at customer service and told me he would call head office to get things straightened out. He then took down the B5G50 signs on the pasta and crackers until he gets word from head office.

So check out there. If they have signs up hold them to it at customer service.

The safeway I went to had no signs and looked at me like I was crazy when I mentioned the promo. No one in the entire store (or the head office) knew anything about the promo so I am totally confused.

No signs here - lucky folks that have the signs up.
Extra cash here - earn by searching/watching videos/doing offers on swagbucks - it's a legit site and pays reliably.

Already do swagbucks?try Instagc or pm me for invite codes for Gifthulk.

Out at 5 travelling this AM. Just got in. Either the local rag hasn't been delivered yet or people have taken them all.

Regardless, I'll have one tomorrow AM.

    <hr style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255); background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);" size="1"> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- NuHit--> <!-- / NuHit--> <!-- message --> October 18 - October 24:

In the following first number is sale price. Second number is effective value based on $0.14/AM). If there is a multiple offer, ie, B3G15 & B6G45 a third number corresponds to the value of the extra offer.

With effective valuing you can compare the relative prices of a product after accounting for the AirMiles against the same product in another store. For example,

If Coca-Cola is $2.00 with 10 Airmiles it has an effective value of $0.60 [$2 - (10 x $0.14)]. If another store is selling the same product for $1 you know the effect of the AirMiles beats that price.

Print off a copy of the following to take comparison shopping.

Thanks for next week's info - that is a pretty sad week for AMs!!

Did you hear back from customer service about the 500 AirMile thing? I'm planning a shop tomorrow, and would love more information! Thanks!

    Scotties 6 Pack B2G50 6.99/3.59

See there's a $1 coupon in the Smart Shopper flyer in today's paper. They're marked for "multi packs". They're also marked "Enviro" packs so whether this is really a new product or advertising gimmick it's hard to say.

Normally I skip the Scotties offer as it works out to an effective cost of $0.60/box. Instead I'll wait for SDM's house brand @ $0.49/box (Seems it's been more like $0.59-0.69 lately though).

Regardless, if you can get two $1 coupons and they accept them on the regular product then the cost is:

    5.99/2.59 effectively $0.43/box

Not a huge saving but you might be getting better quality.

I'm also reminded of a saying my grandmother used all the time:

Mind the pennies and the pounds take care of themselves.

Every penny more in your pocket counts.
