Never got this one either. I'm guessing it's because my card has been pretty active spending for the initial welcome bonus.

Rarely use the Amex Card , usually only on promotions.

I have to say, AMEX are on the ball as to posting bonuses, etc. I did the October grocery purchase on 01 Oct (Gift card at Safeway).. My 10 Oct statement just posted and the bonus is included.
