That's why I haven't been keen on chasing air miles. If they would allow people to convert their dream miles to cash miles, I would do that right away with my ~17.5k dream miles I have now. Harder and harder to find reward flights (even with onyx status) and get decent value nowadays.

We have had 2000 air miles for 6 years and still can't redeem! Ridiculous.

Completely agreed, Air Miles really sucks at times that's for sure, I only earn cash miles whenever I do and only redeem now for gas at Shell since they got rid of redeeming for GC at Sobey's where I would be able to "spend as I please". Cineplex I find horrible anyhow, Landmark whenever possible for movies.

Hi all, I have reached Onyx thanks to all great notices of airmiles. Question...now that I have Onyx status how do I get the great deals for one airmile?? I don't see anything on the airmiles site for these great rewards...or is it just once a year? do you have to act fast? Is it just in the big cites that they offer these great deals?

If this is your first time reaching Onyx it won't start until April next year. Other than buying overpriced flights and getting through the Call center faster there really isn't any perks

You have to act fast, and yes, it's mostly big cities. Though I have seen offers for Halifax and St. John's.

The 1SB ONYX specials go up on the Airmiles website. Usually it's a limited number and first come first serve. People here (especially Ron) are very good at alerting the rest of us when they've gone up.
