The 1SB ONYX specials go up on the Airmiles website. Usually it's a limited number and first come first serve. People here (especially Ron) are very good at alerting the rest of us when they've gone up.

Last year it was chicken burgers with big pieces of chicken breasts. This year it was coated chicken fingers and fries. They were big and good but would have preferred the burgers. There was also mixed nuts, potato chips, a couple of salads, popcorn and dessert as well as all the pop and bottled water you wanted. Yes, free team scarves. The tickets said $175 on them. The game was on TSN the next day and we were on one of the field cameras almost directly across from us. Would have been 5 of us but Raj had to go to Seattle. He gave his tickets to his brother.

Very few deals this week, Spend $30 on overpriced Halloween candy get 100 miles. No prices on the candy, but I'm going to assume overpriced.

Well gosh darn it! Just when Airmiles was getting back in to my good books they go and do this....

Thanks to tips here have been converting to Sobey's e-Vouchers and buying Amazon gift cards.

Now the e-Certificate says, "Can't be used to purchase 3rd party gift cards."

Was just in Thrifty's trying to get $100 in Amazon GCs and no go. Supervisor called head office. They won't even let me buy a non 3rd party Sobey's GC with it.

My guess is when SHELL finally gets its act together we'll no longer be able to use AMs for GCs there either!

Are you saying that you were able to redeem AM to buy gift cards at Shell even after AM implemented that policy for all merchants? If that was the case, then it is because your local Shell cashier didn't know the rule change and the old Shell AM redemption machine was not able to stop that..
