Just checking in to see what’s going on.
Got my 800 miles from the last Amex promo.
This country is interesting to put it politely.
Managed to see an elusive tiger in the wild yesterday after our third and last attempt.
Anyways looks like this should be a good week to rack up airmiles bummed I’ll miss it.
Take care and rake em up!

Oh ya and if you saw the reports of the Delhi smog we were “fortunate” enough to be there on the absolute worst day that was toxic! Pollution is real and it’s nasty. Thankfully I only had us there the one day and far away the next.

Well as the program suffers a long painful death if you usually fly somewhere then dream miles are still better. However airmiles is trying their darndest to make the dream miles worth less

Depends how often you travel, esp short haul within Canada. I have found air mile reward flights are only good if you can fly short distance with West Jet and there are flights available. Long haul flights or with airlines other than WJ I have found to require way too many air miles.

I will have over 20k air miles soon and I wish I can convert at least 10k to cash miles. Be really good if air miles gets rid of cash miles/dream miles designation.

I prefer airmiles. Just in the past year alone, we have flown:
2 people from AB to Seattle (June)
1 person AB to BC, high (xmas)
2 people AB to QC, low (Feb)
3 people AB to ON, high (Aug)

The total value was so much better than if we had redeemed for cash miles.

Well gosh darn it! Just when Airmiles was getting back in to my good books they go and do this....

Thanks to tips here have been converting to Sobey's e-Vouchers and buying Amazon gift cards.

Now the e-Certificate says, "Can't be used to purchase 3rd party gift cards."

Was just in Thrifty's trying to get $100 in Amazon GCs and no go. Supervisor called head office. They won't even let me buy a non 3rd party Sobey's GC with it.

My guess is when SHELL finally gets its act together we'll no longer be able to use AMs for GCs there either!

Just looking into redeeming for some e-certs.. the terms are weird.. It seems you can still use at Safeway/Sobeys to buy other gift cards.. but not at Thrifty Foods!

I think I did my 6th STB offer last night.

Did the Rexall spend $25 to get 15 bonus am yesterday. Rexall is great place to shop for am promos. Wish there is one closer to me though. Bought ~$39 worth of stuff - $5 coupon (for filling out survey) = ~$34 incl tax. Then got a $10 Rexall gift card under their spend $30 and get $10 gift card promo.

I will soon have ~25k air miles. Onyx status for another year.
