Called in to cancel my World Elite pointing out that now I'm over 65 I have to pay for their travel insurance and they had switched to a new Airport Lounge provider that doesn't provide locations and it was useless on returning from LA as a result. Thought they might send me to customer retention but he didn't.
"We could switch you to a different card, perhaps our Airmiles card".
Didn't want that so he just cancelled it without batting an eye. I gather they're getting tough on churners.
