Looking at the offer on Royale Facial Tissue:

    Royale TP/Tissues (6 pack)/Ultra Towels B4G100 6.99/3.24 (look for coupons)

    That's $0.54 each effectively.

Zeller's has individual $0.77 (4 max, 1.29 over limit) while PharmaSave has individual $0.69 no limit.

Clearly $0.54 is better than $0.69.

    The true savings is [6 x ($0.69 - $0.54)] = $0.90. If you buy four 6 packs then you're really ahead $3.60.

The above though is based on an average AM value of $0.14/AM. Some of you prefer a more conservative $0.125/AM.

How much are you saving at that value?

    $6.99/$3.83

    $3.83/6 = $0.64/box

    Your advantage now is $0.69-$0.64 = $0.05/box

    6 boxes = 6 x $0.05 = $0.30/6 pack over PharmaSave or $1.20 if you buy four 6 packs.

It doesn't look all that good but remember:

Mind the pennies and the dollars take care of themselves.

    It does get better:

You can use GoCoupon Royale coupons on the 6 packs but not on the individual packages at PharmaSave. If you do:

@$0.14/AM advantage $1.90/6 pack or $7.60 if you buy four 6 packs.

@$0.125/AM advantage $1.30/6 pack or $5.20 if you buy four 6 packs.

If you can save $6.00 on an item per week with an AiRmile advantage that's $312 more in your pocket in a year.

That was an awesome breakdown Operabob. If only I needed those. I have the coupons and everything. But when Wally had their 6 packs of Puffs (christmas) on clearance I bought then. I am sure I have enough for the year. LOL. But I really think it will help others see the value of this promotion.

    col,

If you got an even better price that's great.

You should never buy an item you need just because it has Airmiles. Rather you should buy an item you need only if the Airmiles give you an advantage over other choices.

Yes you can combine as long as you do no more than 10 multiples of any particular offer during one shop.

You could buy ten 4 Royale offers and get 10 x 100 AMs = 1,000AMs.

    However, if you bought 11 in a single trip you'd still only get 10 x 100 not 11 x 100.

It's also supposed to be per day but we're not clear on that. I do know some people get a second Safeway customer card to get around that.

PS: Apparently the CBC segment aired. They forgot to tell me when it would be on.

PS: Careful on the Colgate toothpaste.

Pharmasave has some of the same sorts on for $1.99.

With a $2 coupon that's free which easily beats Safeway.

Caught the spark show on the road this afternoon. Think I will be paying close attention to Opera Bob! Great interview. Any quick tips on gathering FPC's and other coupons?

    2for$4.44
Make sure they're eligible because the flyer only lists $3.99 items.

Check the shelf for the blue tags and/or for the blue sheets.

Let us know what you discover.
