There's a one page (double sided) insert for Safeway in today's paper for holiday foods good until Dec. 27. Only one AM item but it's the Green Giant offer continuing.

If you look back a page or so there's a B$200G300 bonus coupon good to Dec. 20 (Actually, every cashier has it and it's supposedly automatically applied at the cash register.

So counting the veggies it was:

    500 + 175 + 300 = 975

Safeway gives a bonus AM for every $20 so 10 more = 985.

My credit card gets 1 AM/$10 at Safeway for 20 more = 1005,

    Hope this helps.
Since Food bank takes everything, including non food items too. It is more profitable to go with the toilet cleaners.

Agreed, but as this was Christmas I went with the KD, otherwise it would have been the Lysol (wonder if I have any coupons?).

My $17.50 (or was it $25) Entertainment book on which I get the 40% kick back (or whatever it was) was hand delivered by CanPar. Must have cost a fortune in comparison.

On airmiles facebook page they are running a Season's Giving Contest from Dec 17 - 28. There are instant win prizes of airmiles. I won 100 airmiles yesterday.

Are you talking about the bonus for the Airmiles shop? You have to buy something on the Airmiles shop to get that bonus.

Tried registering for it but it would complete for me. Tried 3 times and gave up.

    a_1,

No it's a separate contest on Airmiles.ca's facebook page:

I am begining the process of rolling my airmiles into groceries. From now on I will be purchasing groceries with them. This week I used 285 out of the 300 ams I got from my BMO appointment to get a safeway gc. Now I am going to pick up 10 packs of the green giant veggies and earn back 102 airmiles. Zero out of pocket and i am rebuilding my airmiles to do this again next month. Rolling my points keeps my OOP conciderably lower. I know this system doesn't work for everyone... but for low income people this is a pretty great option.
