Mine have been ok since i did a big complaint about 14 or 15 months ago... but i don't shop at safeway unless the deal is spectacular and works for my needs and budget.

PS: Because of the long weekend have to wait until 2morrow for the flyer.
Be sure to compare costs on short haul flights to Calgary, etc.. there are often good seat sales. With Air Miles booking fee of ~$50/ticket.. that can make a big difference.
Ron.
I checked and even with the sale price using AMs saves me $175/person for 679 AMs = $0.26/AM.
Ooops, error, 769 AMs = $0.23/AM

Yes, the flyer insert is store specific, there is only 1 Safeway where I live, and they have lots of competition. There is usually a coupon for 5x Am wub$40. There was a new store open in new west minister that usually has 250AM wub$100.....doesn't hurt to check if your local store has their own deals.

Barry,
Best thing is book early. The latest flight I booked was out more than 2 months. Had it been a more major route I'd have booked even earlier.
Even then if things are working out a bit odd phone in. They're are sometimes alternatives not showing with sister airlines but they'll cost a bit more in Airmiles.

Yeah I have. I've talked to their CS on the phone where I've verified and been told/assured I would be credited and several months later nothing. I pretty much gave up. Not just that- and I preface it by saying I still shop SW- I am looking for value regardless and AM credited at time of sale I always get. But from about 14 cents to 10.5, less AM on deals and quality of product all play into where I buy. Some AM product favourites have gone now or cost more AM as well. So I do a loop every week. Being in Victoria allows me to that from Gordon Head. Usually I do a Safeway, Rootcellar, Walmart, Co-Op Gas, Thrifty loop with Canadian Tire and Country Grocer or other stores in the loop. I only go if it is worthwhile ie usually not if one item or comparable at other store I'm going to. I save tons that way. I skip a store or 2 sometimes as well. Don't get me wrong- Safeway is by far the best at Airmiles but the keys are value and quality at the end of the day and getting the airmiles. In my case I haven't had much luck in owed airmiles for whatever reason and I'm not one to fight. Once it goes in those books- we should get them! Not have a form like some of us have gotten. They can do better than that. I wish I could say I got them months later but I didn't. Last year on the buy cereal, etc. mail and get a SW gift card- didn't get that either. Waiting on this years as many of you are. All this affects what I do in some ways. I really like this forum though. Always checking it. Great posts. You do a great job Operabob as well as the other posters which I look at and many times saves me money.
Rocky.

Ummm RCSS posted the new coupons on the board. There is a thread somewhere about them. There are ALOT of ones we use. $1 off 2 dozen eggs, $2 off janes, $1 off Astro bio-best yogurt. $2 off melitta coffee. a bunch of others too.
Also Cheeky. I pretty sure the glad coupons specifically says it Can't be used for clingwrap
I also did a SCOP today. They forgot to take the price off last weeks sale on the Van houtte so I paid $9.99 and got $10 back. So a tin of free coffee and I made 1 penny lol
Also one last note. I noticed on my receipt that if you pay with your debit card you get 2x the base points until the end of the month. I still get more from my mastercard, but it looks like they are trying to stop creditcard use.Last edited by Tommycoupons; Fri, Sep 6th, 2013 at 08:59 PM.
