I expect we might see some more Barilla coupons in the near future. Seems the CEO of the world's largest pasta company (who knew?) made comments that have offended the alternative lifestyle community who the press indicate are calling for boycotts.
Dunno if these are only good in the US:

does anyone know if safeway will take 10% from the total before coupons or after. Im thinkng about using 70 x $3 Colgate sensitive toothpaste and they are on sale for $2.99 so im wondering if i pick them up on Tuesday and get 10% would that cover my taxes?? or are they going to minus 10% off from 2.99 and then lower the coupon value..
and one more question.. i remember reading someone's post regarding donation and receipt that they will give you for the value of the product.. i would like to donate all that toothpaste but i also would like to be able to receive a receipt that i can use for the taxes write off.
thank you so much in adavance

The toothpaste is also a B3G30 so I suspect the computers might be set to accept a max of 30 (10Xs offer) at a time. You'd probably have to use a second club card on the next 30 to get credit.

In Safeway's coupon policy, it states:
"Cash discount coupons applied to the total purchase cannot be combined with any other discount offer, including Customer Appreciation Day & Seniors Day."
1. Ask for the 10% first
2. Give the coupons second
They can only say no.

I had a great shopping trip today. Earned 705 AM! Decided to use my rain cheque for Safeway TP 3.99 B2G50 to get me over the $100 to get 100 bonus, as I knew there wouldn't be any Colgate toothpaste come 10% Tuesday.
The breakdown

705 AM $74.03
0.05 per L gas discount $2.50
Finish MIR BOGO $7.16
Checkout 51 $4.00 and chance to win $500
Actual OOP $37.18!!Last edited by mrsf1sh; Fri, Sep 27th, 2013 at 04:51 PM.

As others have said, one of the more important things in couponing at Safeway is to find a cashier (or a manager) that you can work with. You need to understand what your coupons say (ie BOGO, or $off), be up front & honest with your cashier. I think the cashiers appreciate the time it saves them when your coupons are organized. I am lucky, I have about 3 favorite cashiers at our SW, and some other ones that are good to me. I once had a coupon that was a BOGO that she needed to fill in the $ amount, and she just filled in the max allowable...which may or may not have been the price I paid . I have needed to go to CS many times for the store coupons that have not scanned to give me the sale, but instead have scanned the item twice...new cashiers that made mistakes with the coupons etc... sometimes I'm wrong, but sometimes not, and the cashiers have never given me trouble. That has helped me get a working relationship with these people, and it has worked well for me. Many of my couponing hints I got from this thread and other SC threads. Including telling the cashier that I want to "do the airmiles thing" (B$100G100) and she said "we'll do the coupons after your card."

I added in the safeway deals... WM and Target and even Sobeys kind of suck this time. You can get a deal at target If you price match other stores to get it and use target coupons plus manufacture coupons. It will work on the dove and glad (pm to LD for dove and WM for the glad)
Swagbucks, Earn 30 - $50 a month in surveys plus cash backs on your spending. You have to work at it, but it is WORTH it and it can help you buy some Christmas presents for free with Amazon gift cards or paypal payments. Referral link http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/cheekysaver
