So round trip from Toronto to Vancouver in low season was 3125, now 3600 air miles. I don't know what the fees are because I don't have enough yet, dammit! I am thinking this might be my last flight using air miles because it's so hard to get them now.

On July 16th I checked a flight from Winnipeg to Toronto. With my 25% off, the air miles was 1013 (that's a return flight). It's now 1200 air miles!!! With 3 people flying that's an extra 600 air miles and that would only be PART of our trip!

The rest of our trip was to Houston TX. The air miles on July 16th was 2775. It's currently 3225! That's 450 extra air miles!

Our trip for the three of us is now costing us an extra 1900+ air miles!!!

The cost of airmiles went up but the fees should have went down. I did a couple searches before for YXE-YVR and YXE-YYZ and the end result after the changes gave me around 20 cents per mile for the increased miles.

Yes, the fees went down a little bit however, the first air miles amount you now see is not available! When you search for flights it gives you way higher air miles. For example: the flight starts out as 1050 air miles but when you click on search for flights it says

"sorry, flights for 1050 reward miles are not available at this time. You can check out our additional flight options below or you can also search for the flights on another date."

The flights they give you to select from are 1313 air miles!! These flights are the same flights that have always been offered! Last week the original amount of air miles for the same flight was 750!! 75% increase!!!!

Ok I can confirm what you say is true, because I did one search of Jamaica and after the changes the exact same flight that was available before for regular miles was now jacked up as a special expensive flight. However the domestic flights were not jacked up to special status. I also agree on the constant decrease in available miles at safeway.

I know I shouldn't gloat, but the reason there will NEVER be an Ontario coupon is that it is a standing offer here--that's how I have loaded up on AM's over the years--can't tell you how many times I've had an order at 33$ or so and said, Ok what's 7 $ more to get 5$ of AM's...not so much anymore.
