Very easy. Then it's about a 6 block walk to the Stadium.

It's the way we do it. Faster than a car and a lot less hassle.

If returning immediately after the game better to catch the Skytrain at "Waterfront" as the majority of the crowd will head to "City Centre" and there'll be lineups. The can catch either "Brighouse" or "Airport" Skytrains. Both go to "Bridgeport" where they'll get off again. The bus back to the ferry is at the bottom of the escalator on your left.
Excellent advice. We have taken the skytrain to the game a few times. Never had trouble getting into a train though (usually no seats so just stand) at station (Yaletown I believe) closest to BC Place. Waterfront is maybe extra 5-6 blocks. If you want a seat, better chance at Waterfront.

There were waits at City Centre during the Women's World Cup but the attendance was 50,000-60,000. For the Whitecaps it'll be around 25,000 so not as much a crush.

We usually stay over at the YWCA Hotel directly across the street from the stadium, modern and reasonably priced.

Bob, I think the last ferry is at 9, do you think there is any hope of them making it? Thanks for all the info! Is that express bus the one you buy tickets for while on the ferry?

Out at the moment so can't check on the game time. I do know if there's enough overflow BC Ferries will put on an unscheduled 10:00.

The game is @ 16:30. Game is ~2 hours. The last Ferry is at 22:00 on Sunday. Should make it no problem.

Since I'm going to be away, does that mean this Friday is blue Friday?

I received my confirmation passes in the mail today. The time on them states 2pm, where the time on the official Whitecaps schedule is 4:30pm...

Bob, maybe you can drop our friend a line to check on this?

I remember at one previous game they changed the start time from what was stated on the tickets. Probably best to contact the Whitecaps.

Yes.. Air Miles sends a confirmation in the mail. The Whitecaps email you the e-tickets to get into the building shortly before the game.

    Ron,

There doesn't seem to be a "Contact Us" on the Whitecaps page.

As you pointed out the schedule has the Oct. 15 game listed as 4:30 start but all the resellers I checked have it at 2:00.

I've got a request in on their FB page for clarification.
