GREAT day at "No Frills"
12 boxes Bluewater fish 6 pieces to a box (reg price 4.69 each) on sale for $2.00 a box = $24.00 - 12.00 in coupons = 12.00 (not a bad price for fish)
10 boxes of baggies 1.00 each used 2.00 WUB2 coupons FREE
12 bottles of bleach (PM Bleach from SOF ) used 1.00 coupons FREE
PM Alymers canned tomatoes 1.00 each had 1.00 coupon WUB2 = .50 each (for the large cans)
2 boxes Orville Pop corn 2.00 each used 1.50 coupons = 1.00 for two boxes (each box had 4 pkgs)
NOW, for the best part of the shopping trip
I was in line and notice an elderly man behind me with the Bluewater fish in his basket. I got out coupons and gave it to him so he would only pay 1.00 per box. He was so excited he couldn't find his wallet . Then I asked him if he used bleach or not and he said yes so I came him coupons for it but he wasn't going to get it, I asked him why he is not getting it that it was the last day to PM the price to get it for free. He then said I come every day and get three items because I don't have a car. While he was putting his items through I ran as fast as I could and got him 4 bleach and 5 baggies came back and asked him to wait as I wanted to talk to him, then I went to the till and got the bleach and baggies for him, it only cost me the taxes.
I said here this is for you, he just stood there is shock and said no one has ever helped me like this before I don't know what to say to you
Then I said are you ready I am going to drive you home now with all your stuff and off we went. When I dropped him off at home a few blocks away, I gave me lots of coupons to shop with (food ones) for the next time he goes shopping at No Frills
Today I was going in that area again and I dropped off an envelope in his mail box with coupons and a letter saying it was nice meeting you and here are some more coupons for free items and included the paper so he could PM at No Frills and wrote happy shopping
I hope he can figure out how to PM but if he doesn't that is fine he will still be saying money with the coupons
I got more of a high helping him then I did getting the deals on my own stuff. It sure make my day and the rest of the day I was on cloud 9, it was the best feeling ever helping someone and seeing what a small helping hand can do....IT PUT A HUG SMILE ON HIS FACE
