i guess if someone isn't into religion then debates about it in a completely separate section shouldn't bother them anyways.

i don't recall seeing religion debates on SC. mainly we've had political debate and a little bit of social debate here and there but that's mainly it.
sometimes ppl's different cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds influence their overall views on those subjects, but we've never gone all out on religion.

personally if i don't like a topic i skip the thread altogether :)

the community on SC is such that even when we do debate, the heaviest debaters have a good feel for each other and know that it's all in the name of fun anyhow :D

i think what i meant was a debate has turned into religious views and ruined topics because of it.if the topic was about religion i would not look into it..guess i should have specified that..i guess i hate when a topic about something becomes about religion.

Unfortunately a lot of debate topics can/do bring up religious views. It causes a lot of hard feelings against each other since faith is a very important topic to some people. A religious sub section would end up causing a lot of problems. Just like if we had a "race" section.

Actually, most people are fairly good about it, if I remember correctly, there is a time and post limit before you can request access so the mods know the person fairly well by then. There are very few people with more than 2 warnings.

That was one of the pic's I put on, didn't know that, changed the pic's. I too would love a sappy pet section!!!!! PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE...

My sister. She can supply 30 minutes of new info about her 2 cats EVERY SINGLE DAY. I love her dearly, but, oh my. I've spent days with her where we run into lots of people and every one is regaled with the 10 minutes story of how kitty purred in just the cutest, surprised way when my sister slammed the fridge door just enough to startle her. Gaaaah.
