I'm thinking about buying one of the Vileda Promist mop but wonder if they're any good. The only thing I don't like is that the pad needs to be washed. We have two dogs and hardwood floors they the floors get washed daily. Does anybody have one? Can you buy disposable pads for it?

yeah I have one. The pads need to washed however you can buy refills so you have a few kicking around because they do get dirty and will streak. It came with toss aways for bigger messes it said. I have not used them yet as I really just use it to do a quick clean and then I don't have to mop all the time. I love the fact that I can use what ever cleaner I want. SO much cheeper like this. I have two bottles so I can use different cleaners. I have laminate needs other cleaner. I Also love that I can get my kids to clean the floor lol!!

I have one as well; I highly recommend going easy on the amount of cleaner you put in the bottle though. If there is too much cleaner, I find that it makes the floor feel a bit... sticky or something as though it's not fully "clean".

I don't usually use any type of cleaner. Just vinegar and water. Does a great job! I love the Pro Mist. Definitely have to get some extra clothes though.

Of course it does have the little holes in the top like the swiffer that you could tuck a cloth into. You could probably just use an old terry cloth towel or microfibre cloth instead of the special cloths.

I babysat my nephew for a while, but then his Mom stopped working. So now I'm just selling Avon. I love it, but I haven't got it to the point where I'm making a lot of money yet. Getting there though. I'm hoping with the couponing and Avon I can avoid having to get a part time job to supplement our income, but it's quickly catching up to us. I think I'll get a job at Wal-Mart!

I love my Promist mop! I also have animals - 1 dog and 2 cats, and 3 young kids! haha so keeping the floor clean is a daily thing for me! I like the ease of it and I'm constantly doing laundry so I don't find washing it a problem. I did buy an extra cloth to have as a back up.

I have been thinking of getting one as well. I have 4 different $5 off coupons WUB the refills that I can stack, get the mop for free and only pay $8.99 for the refill.

I wouldn't recommend using 'vinegar and water' on real wood floors though. Someone told me I should do this years ago... I did for about 8 months or so and noticed that my floors weren't 'glossy' anymore. I called the hardwood flooring store and when I told them what I was using they told me that vinegar is acidic and will strip the polish/varnish off the wood. Ooops!

I didn't point this out to my husband or tell him until we sold our house!!!!!

Just my 2 cents... and I'm not sure how it is with other floors but I do hear a lot of people doing this since vinegar is such an amazing cleaner!!!
