I just got a pair of prescription glasses and a pair of prescription sunglasses at Pearle Vision in Limeridge for $325 total and they weren't even the least expensive ones.

Town Optical in Waterdown is the BEST! (If you're close enough) I only have positive things to say about the eye Dr. and the Optician =) Super friendly and welcoming. $75 for the eye exam.

Tony (optician) is very fair and will accommodate you very well (if you have insurance or not).

I bought my glasses at clearlycontacts.ca

I paid $58 for the first pair (coupon code applied) with shipping, and only shipping for the second pair ($12.01) also using a coupon code.

What I did was tried on several glasses where I had my eye exam to find what I liked, and then got the measurements from the frames. I used that information, and the info for my prescript & ordered the glasses.

Did you get the glasses yet? Were they what you were expecting?

Oh yes, I got them in a week & they are fantastic. They fit very nicely, they are lightweight, and they each came with a mini screwdriver keychain, the wipe, and a hard case.

Im going for my eyetest myself next Wednesday.
    Im going to:
    http://www.stoneycreekoptometry.com/
they only charge $75 for the eye exam.

be careful about eye tests being offered by stores that sell glasses.
don't forget about the Great Glasses fiasco.

Make sure it's a licensed Optomitrist on site that's giving you the exam.
As one person pointed out. Computers might be able to spit out the results of an eye exam, but they can't diagnose any problems with your eyes.
    Like Stigmatisms or Glaucoma.
