That was so wonderful of you!
I forgot my purse in a shopping cart once and only noticed half way home. I raced back and it was gone. I went inside to customer service and thankfully someone brought it in!!Now working on Christmas 2012 through SwagBucks.

I had that discussion at work one time. One of the guys said that if he found a wallet or purse he would keep it. I told him that is why you will never find one. The funny thing about it was, we all went to lunch that day and at the entrance of the building I found a wallet. I check out the id. and when I entered the restaurant I asked if there was a so-and-so having lunch. They guy didn't even know he had lost his wallet. He was grateful but my co-worker still insisted that I should have kept it. Some people never learn.

I LOVE this brag...kudos and great karma to you OP!!
DH lost his wallet 2 weeks ago, knew exactly where (he had just left the one place he used it). Got back there within 3 mins and it was GONE! The cashier said someone was asking about a wallet?? Long story short, there was a car full of people who were there when he was the first time and they claim not to have found it. Too bad for them...I had a prety nice cash reward waiting in my hand, there was NO cash in the wallet, all cards were cancelled within 15 mins, and we have protection on our credit reports...nothing of any value!
So back to your great brag...the purpose of my post is just to confirm that karma actually does work in strange ways! I am SO happy there are people like you out there, re-affirms my faith in humanity after what happened to DH! WTG!!

I once sent my DH to get groceries (no coupons for the trip, except the diapers) and he accidentally forgot the box of diapers on the botton rack of the cart.. He went back and CS told him that he was the 3rd person that day to do that lol

I would have done the same thing because I know how I'd feel if I forgot something. Good grief I'm turning 50 next year and in the past month I've almost forgotten my card in the bank machine twice and I also left my keys in the door of my post office box once! So do unto others is definitely my motto!!

I like these kind of brags. Thank you. Your boys are watching and they will practise what you preach. When my dd was about 5 she came out of a bathroom stall at the mall with an older lady's purse. She knew even then that she should find the rightful owner. After we took it to administration in the mall she told everyone we knew what she had done. We are now working on being humble. lol.

That is great that there are still some honest people left in the world I nearly lost $100 in the Wal-mart parking lot the other day. I was so shaken, I nearly wet my pants I had it in my hand as I was walking through the parking lot but when we got to the vehicle, it was gone. I have no idea how it left my hand without me noticing. My dad was with me and we both went running through the parking lot. I found it blowing around in the breeze between two cars. I am so glad we managed to find it all in time. That was scary. I bet the lady will be forever grateful for your kindness.

Good for you!!! Left a purse when I stopped to dress my son for winter weather while leaving Sears. I had just picked up my gift cards for Xmas and had 200 cash in it. Someone dropped it off at a checkout untouched.
