We've been having many issues with our Lysol Hand Dispensor unit.. it has literally been going off and on with the lights instead of the motion of a hand.. thus using alot of soap, frustrating and messy and costly. So i called Lysol today.. spoke and troubleshooted the machine with the lady on the phone.. she suggested cleaning the sensors .. check. change the batteries... check.. ok.. now turn it on.. the darn thing starts literally shooting soap all over the counter. i was not impressed. she was laughing. said I made her day. THEN she made MY day and said she was going to send me out a bunch of coupons for my troubles.. then thanked me for calling and and wished me luck cleaning up the mess. g thanks. anyone want a defunct machine

This is a great piece of info as I sometimes find a small puddle under the spout on the counter, thought it was dripping out but maybe when I leave and the light goes off it shouts out some, looks to be right amount I am off to do a experiment ,lol.

OMG same here but my story has a funny ending. My dear hubby says, "something is wrong with my salad. It tastes soapy". Hmmm did you happen to lay it at the counter by the sink as you washed your veggies for said salad? Yep, dang sensor thing went off and poured soap into his salad. To which he added dressing and started to eat...roflmao

The only time the unit goes off on it's own is when I held my hands up too high and touched the sensor / sprout. When there is soap on the sensor it just goes off randomly but after I turned off the unit and wipe it clean it work fine. Only problem is the batteries didn't last long.
PS. It's nice to know they have good customer service.Last edited by Decaf; Thu, Sep 22nd, 2011 at 04:09 PM.

I have two and haven't had a problem with either of them!! Good on ya for calling and letting them know!! and i'm glad hear the customer service had a good sense of humor sometimes the customer service can be more of a hassle to call then just to throw the product out

Maybe it's me but I think that is hilarious. Maybe it's my maritime humour, hahaha. Hey wait a second your hubby was washing his own veggies, what's your secret???

I'm sure it tasted aweful but this is too funny!
